Hi. I am new to this group as I can't find much information about the above.
I have been diagnosed with hemorragic colitis, by a colonoscopy. I have found very little information about this condition and I am a bit dubious about this diagnosis as the bleeding is cyclical.
I think my last gastroenteritis must have been about 25 years ago.
I have confirmed endometriosis, some on and around the bowel that has give me similar symptoms to IBS, which I control via a strict exclusion anti inflammatory diet (No: gluten, dairy, soya, chocolate, caffeine, apples, brown rice, baked/dry beans, tomato puree).
If anyone could enlighten me about hemorragic colitis, I would be very grateful.
Thank you. x

Thank you Shoeysmum. Yes, this is the only thing that I have found too.
The only problem with this article and my symptoms is that my rectal bleeding happened only during periods for the whole duration of the period, every month. Also, I haven't had a gastroenteritis for at least 24 years. I also can't stand meat that is undercooked, it's a bit of a joke at home; anything that is not cooked (eggs, meat) I do not touch.
Hence the reason why I have some difficulty to accept this diagnosis. My symptoms match with endometriosis, not with hemorragic colitis.
This is the reason why I am asking if someone, perhaps from a medical background, knows a bit more about this, in case I have missed something.
Thank you for your help though, I do appreciate it.
