Help/Advice please
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with microscopic colitis via colonoscopy and biopsy whilst living in India 5 years ago. I've never had any treatment and my GP isn't interested when I tell him about the pain I'm in. It's started to keep me awake at night now and I feel so miserable. I've also noticed

IBS D & Imodium plus possible Eye problem?
Hi, first time posting here but desperately need some advice. I’ve suffered from IBS for over 20yrs. I’ve had loads of blood tests, scopes, (last colonoscopy 19 months ago), loads of biopsies and everything is clear. I believe mine is stress related, I’m on sertraline (anxiety) and amitriptyline (bowel

First time here.
Hi. My first time here. My problem is IBS. Had it for about 12 years or so. Had colonoscopy and scan. So, docs say that's what it must be, even though unusually to start at my age. Now 74. Bouts are getting more frequent and this one's been awful, about 6 days now. I'm in UK by the way. All I'm given

Worried about abdominal
Hello! So I've had abdominal issues for a little over a year. My lower abdomen is constantly bloated and gets worse after eating. My top right area (liver area) sometimes does have a sharp pain. I've been told I have fatty liver so that would explain this. Lately I've been experiencing slight blood in

the dreaded ca125 check......
It’s now 4 years since my initial diagnosis of stage 3b PPC/Ovarian cancer. I’ve been suffering from stomach pains since my stomach reversal in September 2019, and recently had a colonoscopy which was normal and am now awaiting a contrast follow through X-ray. As I’m sure you can imagine, this increases

How long did your IBD diagnosis take? Worried about untreated inflammation.
Hello, thanks for reading. In 2007, I began experiencing IBS symptoms at the age of 18, shortly after the birth of my child. I visited GPs many times, but I wasn't really given any tests (other than for coeliac) and they prescribed medication. Fast forward to 2016/17 and I began experiencing diarrhoea

Rising psa and colon cancer
Hi Brothers, Last year I had a rising psa that went from undetectable <.0014 to .053. I had a colonoscopy and the gi dr found a stage 1 cancer that he scooped out and thinks he got it all. Anyway cause margin was thin the guidelines are to resect colon from ascending to a bit of the transverse colon

Blood during period?
Hi all. I’m a 43-year-old woman who is worried about potential blood in stool. I started my period 2 days ago and noticed, what looked like, blood coming from the rectum as well as the normal monthly. I immediately called the doctor’s office, and they got me in that day. The dr did a Digital Rectal Exam

17, afraid I have colon cancer
Hello everyone. I don't know if this post will be long, so I'm sorry if it gets. First, I'm Luca, I'm 17, male, Brazilian, and I'm freaking out lately. On March 29th, 2021, I went to the bathroom and when I wiped, there was bright blood there. Not so lively, but like a stain. I spent that week searching

Any link between high bilirubin and rectal bleeding?
I’ve had rectal bleeding for over a year now despite a negative colonoscopy July 31, 2020. Blood tests show elevated bilirubin levels, but I don’t show any symptoms of hyper-bulimia. I wonder what could be causing the high levels of bilirubin and whether there is a link to this and my rectal bleeding

Redundant (tortuous colon)
Hi all, it’s been a while since my last post so here goes. 18 months ago I had a colonoscopy. It was quite painful; the consultant had to give me a bit more sedative and afterwards he explained that I had a rather long colon which in turn had meant it had been a bit difficult to manoeuvre the scope

I've been refused any scans or imaging, and have been fobbed off by my GP. The NHS has failed me.
I'm a 27-year-old female and have been having symptoms since August 2020. I'll summarise my current situation (please see my previous posts for more detailed explanations). I've been having constant pain in my lower left abdomen near the hip bone. I can feel a lumpy area there (possibly my colon). The

Bowel endometriosis? Long post!
Hello everyone. I'm new to this group and healthunlocked in general! I've been having all sorts of symptoms along with chronic pain for ages now and I'm at my wits end. To begin with, I've had periods of my life since I was 18 (I'm almost 28) where I've ballooned up and felt heavy in my pelvis and hips
