Hi I have just joined this network this evening. I haven’t actually been diagnosed with IBS-D. It all started a couple of years when I was running to the loo literally 7 times a day this went on for a few months in which time I lost 2 stone. Anxiety
Hi all. I am pretty anxious right now. I’ve had some constipation issues over the last few months and my doctor referred me to a gastro who has scheduled me for a colonoscopy on June 23rd. I’m a bit nervous. In the past, i used to notice bleeding every now and then but was always told it was most likely

My appointment for a Colonoscopy.
I took the first dose of Moviprep Wednesday after having a CT scan. It was a introduction to Dysentry. I had a hell of a time with explosive episodes that ruined the carpet in the downstairs loo. I took the second dose Thursday morning hoping it might clean my bowels out and start looking clearer. It

New member not diagnosed.
Hello everyone, I'm a new member here who's spent the last couple weeks researching liver disease, reading your stories, trying to prepare myself for what I may have to look forward to. A little back story. I'm a 38 year old disabled combat veteran. I sustained a traumatic brain injury while in Iraq

Recovering after Radiation
I finished my 5 rounds of Radiation Tuesday. I had some bowel irritation over the long weekend after Round 4, now having more after round 5. Gas and diarrhea together, what a treat. The NP told me to try Imodium, and heck next time I need a new safe I will contact the guys who packaged those tablets

Colonoscopy results
Hi guys I had my colonoscopy yesterday which went well. Did anyone else have biopsies taken? I had 12 taken as I had 2 ulcers and a fairly inflamed colon. My consultant said it was to do with IBD and I'm awaiting results for the biopsies (not sure what results I.e. do you think it's to determine what

Bile reflux? Or acid?
My IBS/GERD has been absolutely fantastic lately. Zero symptoms. I've gained a few pounds and my anxiety is hiding due to being able to go places without gas/d* or any stomach problems. However, last night after drinking some tap water my stomach became very fragile. I turned on my left side in bed

Ectopic pregnancy fundraiser
I've overcome smear after smear,
colposcopy
and
colposcopy
and an operation to be accepted for IVF. This isn't happening surely? I immediately rang the hospital in a blind panic, they told me to come in to check but as I was only 5 weeks, an early scan couldn't be done.

Maybe There is a Reason For Propofol's Effectiveness
I have written several times before about a fascinating conversation I had with my previous gastroenterologist. We were discussing the pros and cons of getting a Colonoscopy since I had turned 50. I was resistant. However, the good doctor trying to incentivize me talked about how 100% of her patients

Still possibly colon cancer?? Help me please
(23 yr old) in February I was about 7 months pregnant and noticed blood in my stool off and on. After a week or two I noticed once or twice a black chunk in my stool (not the whole thing just a part) also there were at times black specks that MIGHT have been food related. I freaked out and managed to

Colonoscopy done.
Nothing alarming was found except something like a abrasion (sorry, I don't know the exact english word) in my sigmoid colon. Findings said "non-specific proctocolitis" but the gastro got a biopsy from the abrasion and waiting for the results next week. Since nothing sinister was found, I'm now baffled

Rectal bleeding 18 months after RT
After 18 months of RT on seminal vesicles and pelvis I have some occasional slight bleeding with no discomfort. Should I let it be or seek colonoscopy ... Will it just go away with time..? Thanks for any remarks or suggestion
