Bile reflux? Or acid?

My IBS/GERD has been absolutely fantastic lately. Zero symptoms. I've gained a few pounds and my anxiety is hiding due to being able to go places without gas/d* or any stomach problems.

However, last night after drinking some tap water my stomach became very fragile. I turned on my left side in bed and had very intense reflux/heartburn and could just feel something lying in my stomach ALL night. I'm emetophobic and thankfully never get nauseous but I'm still worried what this is as I've gotten up and despite not feeling "ill" as such, I still feel there's a pool of something in my tummy. I ate from the chip shop at around 6 last night and had alot of orange juice due to the glorious weather but feel I'm used to this. The acid (or bile?) started at 12am and its now 6.30am.

Has anyone had bile reflux? In my previous stomach assessments, though I've never had a colonoscopy, I believe I've suffered with excess bile as my dad had the exact symptoms at my age (I'm 28). And doctors have said it sounds as though I had bile acid mal at one point. It scares me as he had terrible gallstones when he was around 38 and I take after him.

Can anyone offer any insight about the differences?

I think you need to be looking more at the orange juice and what ever you ate from the chip shop than the water for the source of your discomfort.

Greasy foods can cause acid reflux and orange juice too is very acidic so the combination may have caused the issue.
