Blood and Mucus in stool
I had a
colonoscopy
a year ago, which indicated colitis and proctitis. I've had bleeding mixed with my stool before the
colonoscopy
and it is now a year later and I still have bleeding. It is starting to get worse, accompanied with a bloody mucus jelly.

Radiation enteritis tests?
I have had a
colonoscopy
but was wondering if the damage is in the small bowel, like Chrons disease or IBD. Has anyone had any tests looking at the small bowel? I have requested an appt. at a Late Effects Clinic but was just wondering what tests are likely to be offered. Thanks, Kathy

Very low iron at same time as previously controlled rheumatoid arthritis is now very much out of control.
I've had both endoscopy and
colonoscopy
which have not found a possible cause for the anemia but both my GP and rheumatology consultant seem unsure if the uncontrolled RA is a factor.

A little insight requested
I have a
colonoscopy
scheduled for Feb 14. (That’s original). I wish I could get it done sooner so I could atleast put my mind at ease. My stress level has gone through the roof thinking the worse possible scenario.

Prep for Colonoscopy.
This was my second
colonoscopy
, and I agree that the prep the day before was the most horrible experience. It really seems to knock me about and last time it took over a week to get my body back to a normal rhythm.

I just don’t know why the doctors won’t just push for a
colonoscopy
. I even said to the doctor if I was 50 and came in with these symptoms would you refer me quicker? They said absolutely. So why not me? I’m 35 by the way. Sorry for the graphic pictures I just don’t know where to turn now.

Colonoscopy and endoscopy.
Today I had both my
colonoscopy
and endoscopy, and I must say that having them was a lot less harrowing than I thought it would be. My appointment I was 8.30 am and I was home by 11 o’clock.

Burning
Hi I have burning in the rectal area. I have IBS with constipation. I had 2 colonoscopies within 3 years from 2017-2019 and all good. I was having a uncomfortable pressure gas sensation on my left side above my colon for a long time. That’s why he did the colonoscopies . Then I first experienced burning

Anti spasm tablets
I have been advised after a
colonoscopy
that I have diverticula which from time to time flare up and cause pretty painful stomach cramps. I’m on 50mg flecainide twice a day and 1.25mg of bisoprolol once a day.

Blood on toilet paper
The doctor said I had skin tags near my anus most likely from healed hemorrhoids, but also made a referral for a
colonoscopy
to rule out colon cancer. My anxiety is now through the roof. Should I be this worried?

Worried about persistent HPV
Hello, My cervical smears HPV positive result for 5 years. Last year I had low grade cell changes so I was sent for a colposcopy. The consultant did his best to reassure me, took a biopsy and treated the lesion with silver nitrate. My GP was able to access the result before I'd received the letter.

I am doing a
colonoscopy
and an endoscopy early January to check any blood loss ... the doctor is prescribing this, so to rule out any other problem. Is this normal to have this side effect? Thanks in advance, Take care everybody, Paulo

Question about CKD and having a colonoscopy
I am also scheduled to have a
colonoscopy
in December. I am scared that the laxative solution and the phosphate enema that I have to take as part of preparing for the
colonoscopy
will damage my kidneys even more than they already are.

safe pain meds for surgery
I’ve had this condition for at least 6 years, no one said a word till my liver reacted to prep for a
colonoscopy
that I could not do… and although this condition (NAFLD) showed up on previous scans, when I asked about it I was told nothing about the condition… nothing at all… even with high enzymes!

5.5 years Lupron/Zytiga, still <.01. Just a good story to share on Prostate Cancer
History: My dad, Gleason 9 with small mets, 17PSA, had nodules discovered during a
Colonoscopy
in March 2018. He had needed to pee 10 times a night for years and I urged him to check it out.... he resisted for years :( (I found out later his PSA was 5.6 in 2012 and that he declined a biopsy.
