Hi brightlife,

Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. I am proud of you in getting the tests done to determine what the cause for the bleeding may be. So the sigmoidoscopy revealed fresh blood as well as old blood. And now you are waiting on a "capsule endoscopy" which I have never had but from what I see can be very useful as the most common reason for doing capsule endoscopy is to explore unexplained bleeding in the small intestine. It's a colonoscopy via a pill.

I wouldn't jump the the 'c' word as bleeding can be caused by many different factors. Is there a family history of something?

We do wish you all the best in finding out what going on. I would be interested in the results of t he capsule endoscopy. No head spinning👍😁. Focus your efforts and expediting that procedure and please let us know. You are doing great and being assertive in finding answers.

Thank You,

Hi brightlife,

You are doing great and doing all you can do👏👍. That is so important and you have received some information and know you need to get more answers. The people that don't do the things you are doing and don't get things checked out are the ones that may far bigger issues. Yes the CT showed something that "looks like polyps" and you're waiting on the capsule endoscopy to get you some actionable answers and good path forward.

We all do that self research and there is always information at both ends of the spectrum of what "could" be going on. My doctors actually told me to stop that😂. You're definitely not alone.

Focus on that capsule endoscopy and let us know what how that process turns out.

All the best in getting your answers.
