COPD Going Backwards ?
I was diagnosed with COPD around 2012. The diagnosis was moderate, but I think that perhaps it was at the bad end of moderate. I had at least one flare up due to a chest infection which saw me hospitalized for a short period. I was in a right state before going into Hospital. The infection saw me waking

Transplant advice
I was just wondering if any of you have experience a kidney transplant. A friend of mine has been told they need a premtive one. I am just curious how long it will take him to bounce back from the operation and if there is anything I should look out for. It's just a bit scary!!!!

The Homeless Are Not Just For Christmas
Himself asked me today where do homeless people go to the lavatory...funny sort of a question you might think...but that did make me wonder why we imagine we're living in some sort of advanced society when every town and city has people who are actually without a home... Not through choice...not like

Cellular Immunity and 3 Novel Clinical Trials that Harness the Power of the Immune System
Friends, Today on the CLL Society website we share two interesting articles: 1. An interview with Dr. John Gribben whom I interviewed at the CRC (CLL Research Consortium) Scientific Meeting in San Diego in April 2015. We discussed his approach to cellular immunity, CAR-T and T cell function in CLL

Colofac or Buscopan ?
Which do you find helps with your IBS cramps & pains the best, I am not sure either helps me, I think peppermint oil sometimes takes the edge of it a bit.

I do have a couple of family members and a couple of friends that have offered to be tested but if they are not a match

Colofac making things worse
Hi, I'm new here and wondering if you can help me. I am posting on behalf of my disabled daughter. She has coeliac disease and IBS and recently her symptoms of IBS have been getting worse. We used to give her colofac just occasionally if she seemed to be suffering, but on a recent visit the doctor advised

Will we be growing CLL drugs in our garden and treating us and our CLL with a cup of home grown 'tea' in the future?
Tony Hughes, Associate Professor, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Melbourne explains how plants can be used as biofactories, using a special class of small proteins called cyclotides that are stable enough to survive tea making as an example: https://theconversation.com/little-farmer-big-pharma-the-quest-to-modify-plants-to-grow-medicines
