Which do you find helps with your IBS cramps & pains the best, I am not sure either helps me, I think peppermint oil sometimes takes the edge of it a bit.
Colofac or Buscopan ?: Which do you find helps... - IBS Network
Colofac or Buscopan ?
My GP prescribed both. I take the colofac three times a day and only take the buscopan when I am having a flare of IBS symptoms.
I take buscopan everyday it seems to help quite a lot. Subscribe to my blog I'm writing a segment on stomach issues and anxiety. coxonutandwhat.com
Colpermin one daily, buscopan works but gives severe pain first
Buscopan for me. Depends on when & if I need them. If I've had a stressful day or had a reaction to any foods.....that I probably shouldn't have had then I take Buscopan. Also take the Colofac when & if. The Peppermint Caps did nothing for me.
I have both Diahorrea & Constipation, but then my Anti Epilepsy Tabs don't help as I have constipation as a side effect. I take Movicol Sachets for that. So it's a balance between the two.
Hope that helps.

Hi Nick, I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you check out information on a "low-FODMAP diet". I started doing this just over 2 months ago and think it has improved my IBS quite a lot. The diet (not a weight loss thing) is about avoiding food items which are most likely contributing to IBS symptoms. It's worth reading up about it, and perhaps trying to make a few changes to what you're eating.
Kind regards, Ann
hi everyone.... can anyone suggest if colofac can be taken long term like more than 3 months?
