PAN Foundation has Reopened its CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) Financial Assistance Fund
Friends, It is tough enough to have CLL, but for those of us on Medicare, the cost of some treatments can be prohibitive. Organizations such as LLS and PAN (Patient Access Network) offer help through industry-funded pools of financial aid for those who qualify in the USA. Here is a little early holiday

Flecainide causing bowel soreness?
Since taking Flecainide I've been plagued with a soreness in my bowels. During the summer my EP changed me briefly for about 6 weeks to Sotalol and the soreness disappeared. However, Sotalol did not control my heart so I went back on Flec. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you do to

Methylation focus on CLL
I have recently returned from Clinical Trial monitoring at OSU and was granted a tour of OSU research labs. This tour was synchronistic as I have been interested in how epigenetics affects CLL. I got to talk with some research assistants in the forefront of studying the mechanism of methylation. Knowledge

Neutropenia again
My husband had a bad pneumonia and admitted to the hospital. He has been having neutropenia and low WBC at 1.7 for several months. The heme-onc physician was scheduled to see him in November but because of the bad fever and tremors, we went to the ER. They admitted him and loaded him with antibiotics

Hi guys, I'm new to this kidney blog but have come on here as I am at a bit lost with it all. My EGFR is usually around the 40 mark with Creatinine around 160. Unfortunately I also have a couple of fractured vertebrae from my osteoporosis so I have recently been taking Amitriptylin for the pain. Now
