Some transplant news
My Pulmornay nurse told me the other day that 2 people from the Bathgate area have received double lung transplants in the last couple of months fact the recent one dropped into hospital to say hi to the nurses and they were amazed at how well he looked, Now that's the sort of thing that gives you hope

Difficulty breathing and chest pains
Or a
collapsed
lung
? Or what if I suffocate and die? The scary part is I complain about phyiscal symptoms so often that its kinda like the boy who cried wolf situation. No one really believes me and pin it down to anxiety. I am so tempted to go to emerg right now.

Mother has NSCLC
My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 4 1/2 years ago. She has been on Tarceva for 215 weeks (she keeps track) and now has increased nodules showing on chest xray. She will be having a ct scan, then next week we will see her oncologist for results. I'm afraid he will say the tarceva is resistant

Update on mum
Appointment as expected. Results stage 4 cancer that has spread to pleura. Only option is chemo and clinical trial. Not positive for EGFR or ALK. The only genetic testing they do in uk. Other countries way ahead and do more genetic tests but probably too costly here and no drugs licensed to treat other

Mum diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which has spread to pleura
Hi All, Today I have found out my mums lung cancer has returned after 3 years of having a right lobectomy, with no follow up. She had an X-ray last September due to pain which she was told she had pleurisy. She then attended her routine cancer check up and was told no changes. In January she was unwell

Diagnosed at 43
Hello, my name is Dionne. I have had severe uncontrolled asthma since I was 28yrs old. In 2013 I was diagnosed with Emphysema. I don't need oxygen therapy because of air trapping, instead I use 5 inhalers (Advir, Quvar, Spiriva, Atrovent,& ProAir). I also have to take 10-20mg of Prednisone daily

Fighting to Survive
I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. I must admit that it is still shocking myself and family and friends. I am 44 years old and I'm just not ready to go anywhere. I am hoping that through this site and all my outside support along with God that I find the strength I need
