Interesting few days
I also have a
collapsed
middle lobe (right
lung
) and will probably have a bronchoscope to sort that out. However he thought the main problem was my heart problem and will discuss this with other consultants. He also told me that I must learn to factor these difficult days into my life.

Day 4
I have not found this day better! I went back to work, as we all must eventually, and I told all my coworkers to hold me accountable. Man it was hard, from the minute I got up! I ended up taking a Benadryl during the day just to bring myself down from the anxious, crawling out of my skin feeling. The

Collapsed Lung
I was left with a
collapsed
lung
for four months before it was repaired with a thoracotomy. How much is the delay likely to have contributed to my increased breathing problems?

Hi, I'm new to this! 😊
Hi everyone, I'm new to this. I'm looking to talk with others who understand what having lung cancer means & all of the emotions that go along with it! I had the top lobe of my left lung removed on June 16th this year due to adenocarcinoma. After 3 1/2 months my ribs are still sore & I cry so easily

FDA approves another blood test for a mutation (T790M) in lung cancer
Some of you may have heard about new blood tests to check for lung cancer mutations. And you may have seen the term "liquid biopsy." These blood tests mean that patients with lung cancer who are unable to have a tissue biopsy could still be tested for mutations. Identifying lung cancer mutations is

Crizotinib as a first line treatment for ALK+ patients
We are pleased that crizotinib (xalkori) has been approved by NICE for use with a sub-group of people affected by lung cancer. It had previously been approved for use in Scotland by the Scottish Medicine Consorium (SMC). This is a new treatment for a small group of patients with ALK+ tumours. To work

When Lung Cancer, Is NOT Lung Cancer
I was given 6-12 months to live on January 5, 2016. The HPV Throat Cancer I had in 2014 had reappeared in my lungs, and therefore, I had Lung Cancer. Right? Wrong. I have been saying I have terminal Lung Cancer, but the HopDocs (My doctors at Johns Hopkins) keep telling me it is not Lung Cancer,

Is the Subtype of Lung Cancer NSCLC important in establishing treatment options?
Mum has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer (NSCLC carcinoma). They have started her on chemo (Vinorelbine + Cisplatin). Handling it amazingly and will start her second cycle soon. Radiotherapy may also be added depending on PET scan results (should know this week). We are concerned about whether
