Travel Insurance after lung surgery
My wife, aged 73 was diagnosed with lung cancer 12 months ago and subsequently underwent a left upper lobectomy. We are now hoping to undertake a cruise to Scandinavia and are seeking travel insurance. Has anybody discovered a travel insurance company who might be able to assist?

Guinea pigs and lung transplants
OK so I had a single lung transplant 2.5 years ago and doing great. But my 9 year old daughter wants a Guinea pig!! My question is am I safe to be around it? I'm panicking a little because she's so desperate for one and I dont want to disappoint her

Ablation Redo
It seems in their attempt to install the drain in the pericardial sac, they punctured my
lung
and it had
collapsed
. They then installed a tube between my ribs into the
lung
to remove unwanted air so the lung would inflate but it did not work.

Lung transplant
This week my lung specialist asked me if I would want to have a lung transplant. So I am going to go to Toronto and meet with the transplant team and see what a lung transplant is all about. So my question for everyone is, if you had a chance to get a lung transplant would you get one done, and why ?

Tarceva scalp
I am a near 10 year lung cancer survivor. The last 4 1/2 with stage 4 NSCLC, currently in remission. Have taken Tarceva since Sept of 2014 and had never connected the scabbing on the top of my head as being Tarceva side effect. The responses here are quite interesting. I’ve always thought it was from

Lung Transplant assessment / LVRS
If you have LVRS can it make or cause problems if you have a Lung Transplant later ? I’m about to see my surgeon later this month ( I think about LVRS ) but have just received a letter today from my consultant saying I may be better off having a Lung Transplant assessment so feeling a little confused

Diagnosis after years of chest infections. Employee doesn’t appear to be very understanding.
In September I saw my respiratory consultant who sent me for a ct scan, it was found that the lower lobe of my right
lung
is
collapsed
and there is fluid in the plural cavity.

Advancing Tech, or risky changes?
Laprascopis through the abdomen, then cracked open the ribcage,
collapsed
the right
lung
, removed the offending and stitched me up again. I recently met a senior surgeon in Taiwan and he was surprised to hear that they conducted this procedure so recently.

Lung cancer stage 111b
Well after my #3 of keytruda I've just had a Ct scan. I'm very scared but trying to be optimistic get the results on the 9th and if the immunotherapy is working will get #4 treatment on the 10th. The waiting is terrible praying each day it's working. How do others cope advice would be very gratefully

Single lung transplant
I have come upon this site whilst searching for post transplant information and am so moved by these Christmas posts. I want to tell you a little about our Christmas story, to give some hope maybe. My husband has IPF and probably had 2-3 months left when our whirlwind Christmas took off when on Fri
