Great confusion, great disconnect between the various doctors and treatment centres
My wife was diagnosed with lung cancer this time last year. She breezed through chemo, and results were good. Then things were left alone, nothing happening 6 months. When discomfort returned she goes in to radiation therapy. After ten days of that here quality of life is destroyed. Can't eat, drink

Lung Transplant
I am 58 years old. My Pulmonologist says I may need a lung transplant if the meds I’m on don’t show any signs of the lung scarring slowing down. I would like to know if anybody close to to my age had a lung transplant?I am skeptical about major surgery when you’re not young.

Lung Transplant listing...
For those who already know 20 months ago I was told by Papworth that I was severe enough for a transplant but due to a damaged Oesophagus due to reflux I didn’t qualify!!! Last March I broke down in front of my respiratory consultant and told her that I felt I’d been let down by the system. She personally

“Disease Flare” in lung cancer
Hi all 😊 I am still around and check in on you all even if I don’t always post. As a lot of you know, my dad had stage IV NSCLC adenocarcinoma diagnosed 2/28/18, low tumor volume, and was held stable until 9/2018 at which time he went into the hospital on 10/16 and heartbreakingly passed on 11/20/18

What next?
In April 2017 I was diagnosed with stage 1a non small cell lung cancer. I underwent a lobectomy of my upper right lobe. In July 2017 I ended up in intensive care with a massive PE. I just had a CT scan that showed "suspicious" enlarged lymph nodes located between my heart and my lungs, I underwent

Bling Part 3 and a bit
Well 3 months post endobronchial valve procedure it was time to brave the M60 in the baby smart car and head off to Wythenshawe, the M60 is our northern equivalent of the M25 only less posh being oop north we only have 3 lanes and it floods a lot in places,so much for the much proclaimed Northern power

Lung Transplant list ...
Hi all, A while ago I posted that my mother is going through assessment to be on the transplant list ... now after what felt like an age we went to sign the papers ... I am happy but also very apprehensive about the worst case possibilities... They still need a week or so to do more internal checks but

Treatment withdrawn, do we have any more options?
Hi all I’m writing this out of desperation and am probably clutching at straws. I would like some advice on whether there is any more I should / could be doing to help my Dad or just accept that there is nothing more that can be done. He was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in May 2018. It had

Cataract, Liver/Pancreas issues, Elevated M2 AMA, NAFLD and now Dupuytren's, I am only 45!
Spent months in hospital with severe pancreatitis in 2015 (
collapsed
lung
, fungal blood infection, ascites). 2018 fibrous breast tissue causes cancer scare just after I learn I had a torn rotator cuff in right side, carpal tunnel and cubitol tunnel.
