Well after my #3 of keytruda I've just had a Ct scan. I'm very scared but trying to be optimistic get the results on the 9th and if the immunotherapy is working will get #4 treatment on the 10th. The waiting is terrible praying each day it's working. How do others cope advice would be very gratefully accepted.

Not sure I can help on the waiting issue, wish I could. Just wanted to say I am keeping everything crossed it is working for you and that you get good news on 9th. Try and keep positive which I fully appreciate is tough. Mike
Hello Ollie13,
The waiting is always the most difficult part, it causes so much anxiety anticipating what will be said at appointments, this is a very natural reaction, if you have a look at previous posts on this site, there are a lot of positive stories from patients who have first hand experience of this treatment, this might give you some reassurance.

I found distraction and keeping busy a good antidote to the constant waiting. filling my time helping others, or doing things and not focusing on what might be but waiting to find out the facts. I found a book really helpful - called 'cancer is a word not a sentence' by Dr Rob Buckman. hope you find some relief soon - we have to patient as patients - it's all a waiting game.... good luck.
I'm just at the very beginning, but appreciate your excellent suggestions for positive ways to distract oneself from the worry & wondering.
