Colestyramine
Hi, I've tried taking this in water, juice and mashed banana with a touch of milk and find it impossible. Has anyone tried putting it in glycerine capsules and drinking plenty of water? My itch is driving me nuts!!!! Hope you're all keeping well

Lab results
Hello, I just received my lab results and am wondering if everything is in range or not. My doctor thinks everything is great,I generally feel okay except fairly frequent flu-like symptoms along with fatigue, weight gain, and my cholesterol is still borderline high. As a result of cholesterol results

When to take Questran or Colestid powder
I am taking one sachet of Questran or Colestid powder (containing
colestyramine
or colestipol hydrochloride respectively) per day to control suspected bile acid malabsorption (I have a cooperative doctor - but I haven't been tested for BAM) and therefore IBS D - and with some success.

Cirrhosis and itching
I am taking a powder form of
Colestyramine
once a day, as per prescription, but sometimes I take 2 when it kicks off again, and I also use E45 cream for relief. Can anyone help with any alternative for itching. Lucky I have no nails, as they have also become brittle and just break.

MAB medicine
I have been have been taking
Colestyramine
for 6 months now. It is working very well, but I feel exhausted most of the time. Has anyone had a similar experience. I am taking a vitamin pill for vitamins that are taken out by the medicine. It’s for MAB.

Fungus Among Us: High Ochratoxin A Found in People with Parkinsonism
Yes, Somic67 posted this same video 11 months ago. https://healthunlocked.com/cure-parkinsons/posts/144253830/pd-caused-by-fungus But I just saw the video, we get a lot of new people here, and I have some thoughts on this. I'm also going to pilfer from the LAJ12345 comment on the thread and their link

Fat soluble vitamins
I have read that the more advanced cases of PBC have more problems with fat soluble absorption. I haven't been diagnosed yet but I have been living with low vitamin absorption for probably 20 years. The sublingual d vitamin (you just put the drops on the tongue.) is a great way to get vitamin d in winter

Itch / bile acids / diet
For the last few weeks I have been suffering a prickly itch over all of my body. I have huge sympathy with those who have lived with this for years :-(. I have written down the names of 6 different medications mentioned in the forums, such as Cholestyramine (Questran) - it's my understanding they

Help where has cholestyramine gone?
I have been taking Questran for years, horrible stuff but it works!...apparently there has been a shortage for some time, but now no pharmacy can get any for love nor money!...please any one out there in the same position, have you been prescribed an alternative? If so what? For me it's back to good

AGRANULOCYTOSIS IN THE MIDST OF COVID-19
I had a chat with Dr Petros Perros yesterday about a member that was contemplating continuing her carbimazole treatment when she should be stopping it because she has neutropenia (an abnormally low concentration of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell) in the blood) and was afraid of having RAI treatment

Itchy Scratchy!!
My docs know about it and have given me antihistamines and
colestyramine
all to no avail. In fact it’s getting worse. Just wondered if there’s anything else available that could help. This is my first ever post here btw. Thanks

Cholestyramine (Questran) for Bile Acid Malabsorption
I am having difficulty obtaining Questran or Questran Light to treat sever bile acid malabsorption. My pharmacy says it’s currently out of stock (which it often is) but now they are saying it’s not likely to be available until April 2020. This will make life very difficult & I was wondering if this is

HE SAID YES!!!
Said yes to prescribing me a Bile sequestrant (Questran light /
Colestyramine
) It took a lot of nagging but I managed to get him to agree to the medication... just 1 sachet a day... with a follow up in ONE YEAR. Anyway, has anyone else tried this medication? What experiences have people had?
