diarreha
I had 2/3 of my large instestine removed due to cancer. I have had chronic diarreaha ever since. Lost 40 pounds in a few months. I take Cholestyramine, lomotil and sometimes opium tincture. Does anyone have any suggestions on something else I could try please. Thank you so much

Has anyone done a Leflunomide wash-out?
I've been on leflunomide for a few years and now want to start trying for a baby. So I've been adivsed I need to do a wash-out with charcoal or cholestyramine. Has anyone else done this? What is it like? I've heard it makes you quite ill (with vomiting and diarrohea) as it clears everything out. I'm

Did you know that the symptoms of Bile Acid Disorder (BAD), which are easily treatable, are exactly the same as those for IBS-D?
Do ask your healthcare professionals about BAD and
colestyramine
. If 50% of you with D could get a solution as I have, perhaps more patients would be offered the SeHCAT test or a trial-by-treatment of
colestyramine
before a wrong diagnosis is given. Roz

To everyone who has diarrhoea-predominant IBS please read this…
About 3 months ago my GP prescribed me a trial run of cholestyramine as she’d been looking into bile acid disorder (BAD) as one of the causes of IBS-D (which I'd had for 3 years) and this medication seemed to be very successful in treating it. I can’t tell you how glad I am that I gave it a go! Results
