ADAA Blog Post: The Wisdom of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A Perfect Gift for New Moms

MEMORY LOSS, WAS IT CAUSED BY THE ESTROGEN PATCHES
Side effects where much more evident, especially as they related to
Cognitive
Impairment
. Testosterone remained below 20. In March 2019, I stopped using estrogen as the primary ADT and had a Lupron injection that was repeated in June, I continue to use Avodart and Metformin.

A whole new world
Today, I look at the world with new hope. 4 months ago, roughly, I began Cognitive therapy. I have gone to each session, spoken honestly, admitted faults and looked for ways to improve, just as anyone should in therapy. Not much has come from it yet in that I am not changed in my condition, however

Can't sleep
I am about 9 months into a two-year course of ADT and cannot get a decent night's sleep. I also had two months of radiation. There's ample literature indicating that ADT interferes with sleep, possibly due to hot flashes, but there may be other causes, too. Has anyone tried anything that combats this

Suggestions on books
Does anyone know of books that are specifically for parents supporting their adult children living with anxiety? Preferably, with focus on using Cognitive Behavior Therapy as a basis. Thank you in advance.

New ADAA Blog Post: Treating the Psychological and the Physical: Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Neurological Disorders
"There is no doubt that coping with chronic neurological illnesses can be very distressing. What is however not frequently recognized is the fact that the distress is often a full-fledged co-morbid (co-existing) psychiatric condition that is present alongside the neurological condition." CBT therapy
I've had anxiety & panic attacks for about a year now. My meds have been changed up multiple times without effect and my anxiety/panic has been worse than ever. I have been doing meditation, changing up my diet and researching extensively on this topic. I recently heard about cognitive-behavioral therapy

I'm new here...with a question on forming sleep habits
Hello, I am new to this community, and recently started searching online for information about adult ADD, distraction, procrastination, etc., that may help me. I'm glad to see a wealth of information and relieved, in a way, that there are others dealing with similar problems! I'm grateful for everyone
