Menopaused. Would starting HRT mean reducing NDT? Has anyone experience of this please?
Hi Everyone, Still searching to be less housebound and energised. It's another thing to try before I throw in the towel. Any thoughts and experiences would be greatly appreciated ,as my TSH continues to decline out of range and T4 andT3 both low in NHS range. every best wish , G

Patient refuses abiraterone
From a very concerned daughter: My father was prescribed ADT, abiraterone, and prednisone. He started ADT earlier before the other two were added to the regimen, about one month ago. Since then, he has been experiencing a lot of side effects, including serious hot flashes, elevated blood pressure,

Thyroid Nodules - Advice Please 🙏
I'm new here and it's my first time posting. It was noticed I had a large nodule on my thyroid while having a CT scan for an unrelated issue 5 weeks ago. I can feel a large lump on the right hand side of my neck which is also visible and an ultrasound scan has since confirmed there are several nodules

HANG IN THERE.
as a severe sufferer just want to let all my people know that you can live with it, hang in there when times are tough. Hot flushes
Hello I’m on week 4 of daily pred (20mg), 30mg lanzaprozole, 70mg alendronic acid (weekly not daily). I’ve suddenly started having horrendous hot flushes - mainly at night but yesterday evening had a horrible sweaty and ill feeling 30 mins. Very reminiscent of my early menopause days pre HRT. I have

Castrate Resistant
I know that patients who were started at beginning with combo of, say, Lupron plus abiraterone acetate are declared castrate resistant when PSA rises in certain ways and/or progression is shown on scans. However, for someone like me, who's been on Lupron only since diagnosis, am I not castrate resistant

Should I do chemotherapy?
New here. I am 81 and was diagnosed last month with PCa metastatic to a few bones. Gleason 9. PSA 21 at diagnosis. Have been put on orgovyx and xtandi. Chemo was not mentioned. Reading some posts here I wonder if chemo would be an important option for me ? I will turn 82 In a few
