I am on a 6-month hormone therapy treatment plan. I’m also receiving radiation treatments. After 3 weeks of pelvic radiation treatments (proton therapy), I have noticed a redness around the left side of my foreskin along with some minimal slight white creamy substance. I am uncircumcised. I only have four more weeks of treatments to complete.
My research points to this not being a big deal However, I do not want it to get worse. I plan to make sure the area is cleaned regularly and have added some Vaseline to the area which I read creates a protective barrier. Tomorrow I will consult with my radiation oncologist.
Has anyone had a similar experience and did it heal with no need to interrupt treatments?

My husband had a rash and darkened skin during the radiation around the pelvic area. Try calendula cream made by Boiron. You can find it online or in most pharmacies. It works great for changes to the skin from radiation treatment
"After 3 weeks of pelvic radiation treatments (proton therapy), I have noticed a redness around the left side of my foreskin along with some minimal slight white creamy substance..."
I doubt that would be from radiation. The field of radiation should the area of the lymph nodes in the pelvis above the pubic area, and proton radiation is very precise. The penis is far afield.
Last year at this time I had 6 weeks of pelvic radiation (IMRT) with no side effects at all.
Try OTC Neosporin cream (comes in a tube). Using your finger rub some around the redness area. (FYI.... don't be surprised if you start humming "Memories" when your rubbing).
