Finally!
Back in July I had a response to a FOI, which I challenged. I sent out numerous emails to different NHS governing bodies. I met a brick wall. Today an email turned up out of the blue from my Health Board. It only took them five months. The complaint was that the blood testing for thyroid did not

Attended for my annual supplementary oxygen therapy review today and wahooooo, the prescription doesn't need to be increased! This is first time it hasn't needed to be increased year on year for the last 7 years. Very chuffed. A great Christmas gift.....Long may it last.

Cold is good for you
Radio 4 currently has a series by Dr Michael Mosley, Cold Therapy. The third episode deals with exercising in the cold. One of his conclusions is that people who run reasonable distances for fun (as opposed to marathons, ultra runners, professionals) have their best performance at around 10-11C. Well

I have ataxia SCA-7 / 43 rept
2 things you should try, please report. 1 I'm 56, damn old, half dead one can say. I'm still mentally in a very good condition. Physically quite medium. I can walk with my legs slowly with human or sticks support. Anyway, CBD clearly helps me. I been taking various doses weekly for 5-6 years now

TAPUR study
Following up on a genomics report (47 pages ! Plus 54 min consult) and came across this study (phase 2 basket trial) in the US. Essentially when exhausting, or before, standard of care options, allows patients to trial off label approved drugs using genomics to identify specific targetable variations

happy Saturday!
I brought home my dog domino following acl surgery and am overwhelmed about his rehab routine. Massage, ice, meds, trips to vet daily for laser therapy, etc. for at least 8 weeks. Has anyone else been through this and have any coping skills to suggest?

Cannabis to aid sleep
I struggle to get to sleep at night. Not sure if its connected to my HF / HCM but I am always knackered. I have tried a good stiff malt, boring books and even self hypnosis but nothing has worked so far. Would [Removed] CBD Gummy Bears be a solution? [Removed] What do you think?

CBD Oil (Cannabis Oil) usage in Parkinson's
Someone has suggested having CBD oil at night (2 drops under the tongue) for better sleep and less stiffness in Parkinson's. Has anyone used it? Please share your experience. Any side-effect in short/long term? Any interference with C/L? Thanks

Advice needed?
Cutting a long story short I signed up to Sapphire Clinic who are now Curleaf and they recommended THC/CBD oil which didn't work for me as it give me terrible headaches and stomach issues. I got back in touch and they have said that my options are gummies and vaporizing. The gummies are full of sugar

Parkinson's Nurse update
Hi all, thank you for all your previous posts, they were most helpful. Since then we have had a few medical professionals visit. The Parkinsons Nurse is coming to see my father-in-law tomorrow. Is there any questions we need to be asking? The OT and Physio visited yesterday and recommended a new commode
