thanks for all your replies means the world.as usual im picking my battles should i be proud to say im getting good at it?no way,but there you have it.sean and myself have hilarious exchanges with my "speech therapy"sessions.when i visited yesterday had my fur teddy coat.sean insisted on wearing...you can imagine the "gangsta rap"!!we were howling making up things(mostly rude).the point i would make is that contracted arangements regarding therapies should be honoured or explained why they cant be?simple answer...money.until next time freinds,i say a hip hop and dont stop..xx

I'm smiling D, picturing Sean in your teddy coat rapping, and with you in stitches ....

It's just brilliant how you still keep the humour alive after 3 years of fighting through the tough challenges. Think of you often m'love.

Big hugs for Lesley, the mum, beneath the indomitable woman with the brave smile......

Love to you, Sean and Mr Socks as always.... 💐E. Xx

Hi. I lost speaking ability suddenly last July and was hospitalised for a week. I had speach therapy while in hospital and then on returning home I waited for more therapy and had an assessment but then unfortunately went head first into a phchotic breakdown where my self harming led to me being sectioned under section 2 of the mental health act. I spent a month banged up on a pych ward in Liverpool and got a lot of psychology help and got back some speaking. On release from hospital I went onto home care but was swiftly transferred onto the early intervention phchosis team where I have a diagnosis of trauma based psychosis with both my past childhood abuse and my more recent major health problems and many medical issues and spinal operations thought to be the cause. I really hope you do well with the therapy. Being able to communicate should come naturally but when it doesn't it has a huge impact on life. Waiting for speach therapy certainly tipped me over the edge.
