High ALT and Bilirubin and worried
my ‘urgent blood’ tests have come back and I am stressed to pieces as following my ultrasound I was told I had a fatty liver. My LFTs were all normal apart from my ALT which was 45 and needed to be less than 33, and Serum Bilirubin which was 27 and should be less than 21. Both readings end of March

ELF test
hi all, If you see my previous liver posts I’ve had varying fibroscan scores, mostly overestimated because of my BMI. Lost a ton of weight and got it down to 7.2-7.5. Had another recently after regaining most of the weight and the score is up to 10KPA. Had an ultrasound in March this year and liver

RUQ of abdomen
Can someone have an ache in the right upper quadrant of their abdomen without it being something seriously wring with the liver like cirrhosis? Thanks, Terry

just diagnosed with cirrhosis
I was just diagnosed with cirrhosis 6 weeks ago. My fibroscan score was 14.1 The endoscopy , blood tests and ultrasound did not show bad results. I started getting these aches in my liver area after I had the fibroscan. Is this normal. Im afraid it started something.

Salt / Sugar / diet and food recommendations and a bit of background.
I have Cirrhosis, end of November 2023 bloods taken, GP sent me to hospital to confirm what was suspected, not had a drink since the start December 2023. I was told I had Cirrhosis and nothing else, told to eat more protein and 4 smaller meals per day, no information about salt or sugar / diet in general

Weaning down off Pregabalin
A medication error occurred when I went to collect my prescription for Pregabelin, and I am not sure that best way to proceed. For the previous three weeks my GP had me on 25mg daily – the low dose is because she said I am very sensitive to medication. As the 25 mg was not controlling my RLS symptoms

Portal Gastropathy
Hi Folks, I just joined this forum today and this is my first time posting. I had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy performed on Friday. The main reason was that I have been having some difficulty swallowing for a few months, and since I had been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus a number of tears ago,

What a difference a year makes!
This is probably a post for those who are fairly new to the site, I still consider myself one of those people. This isn’t a post about reversing cirrhosis. Or some miracle I’ve experienced. It’s purely to provide my experience, the questions I had at the start, the complete hopeless feelings I experienced

Continued Journey
Day +14: I am presently unhooked from my medication pole. It is a great feeling to be able to be more mobile around my “suite”. Accommodations here quite nice considering what most hospital rooms are like. it has been a rough go with a certain amount of nausea, lack of energy, and G.I. situations

normal gamma-gt and cirrhosis?
hello, I went to the GP today to discuss concerns about drinking. I’ve cut down significantly but am concerned about having already done irreversible damage. Historically my results have always been normal (last blood test in March). She said that if gamma-gt is normal, cirrhosis is unlikely, but did

raised AST (SGOT) levels and your history with CLL
when i was DX 7 years ago, my AST levels were at around 30. my oncologist hasn't said much about the fluctuations, which have gone up to 50 on occasion. so when i went to see my GP who worked in oncology in another country, told me that i have mild fatty liver, i was shocked as i was obviously unaware

Any advice on bowel problems
Hi I have bowel issues when ever I have a flare up or are due on my period and it causes me to spend most of the night to and from the bathroom. Just wanting some advice on how you best help that. I already drink peppermint tea, probiotics, peppermint oil.
