Gluten intolerance?
Hi all, I am a 27 year old male who recently went travelling in south east Asia. After 3 months I had to return home after being sure I was dying out there. Having seen my GP I have had all the blood tests done for the relevant diseases as well as normal blood counts but nothing seems to be showing

Hospital Blues
I came into hospital on Wednesday to have my chylothorax drained on the right side of my chest. They have drained off about 1.1 litre and I have had to be on a low fat diet whilst I am in to try and help dry it out. It’s not a very inspiring menu choice. Only 4 items and I have all of them now. Symptoms and next steps with testing
Hi Can anyone help with advice on symptoms and testing please? I found my way here after checking on symptoms and have been lurking trying to learn about thyroid issues, trying to figure if this is my problem. I did my own basic thyroid check through Medichecks and got these results: TSH 1.98 (0.27

Chest infection recovery
Hi. I'm 16 years old and for around 5 weeks I have had a tight chest and breathing difficulties, so bad that we once called the ambulance however, I was re assured I wasn't having a heart attack so we decided that I should ride it out. I have visited the doctors many times, because it hadn't improved

sharing a small positive
Disclaimer: I haven't been diagnosed yet, but endo is suspected. Just wanted to share some hope. I am on my period at the moment. The first day was the usual awful start; woke up at 1.45am by the pain, feeling like I'd been shot in the pelvis, stumbling around for painkillers and sitting in a hot bath

Hyperinflated lung question
Back in October when I got a cold then horrendous bronchitis lasted for 5 weeks 3 weeks of abs very breathless really awful. I went for a chest x Ray and was then referred and saw specialist the x Ray said that the left lung was hyoerinflated. I had the CT scan 2 weeks later and that showed on hyperinflation

Folate & Vitamin B12; SAMe & Methyl.
This is prompted by a post from BBruce: "Stay away from Vitamin B12" I reviewed the folate-PCa literature 2 years ago. B12 is covered in that post. What seemed lacking in the new thread was context, IMO. A number of the B vitamins feed into 'one-carbon metabolism' (a term that is usually found in PCa

caster oil packs - best way to use?
My partner has ordered me some castor oil as I've read castor oil packs can help with period pains (mine don't respond to traditional heat pads/hot water bottles). Has anyone found the best way to use these, and with the least mess?!

Daily b12 dosage?
Hi, I had intrinsic factor antibodies test that was negative, but a lot of b12 deficiency symptoms - Gp treated me with loading doses for 2 weeks. I was wondering what dose I should take on a daily basis? I think My problem is low stomach acid due to hypothyroidism so not pernicious anaemia. I’ve

Hi All, after I was diagnosed with Hashimotos last year, I thought my quality of life would improve once prescribed 100mcg T4 daily but unfortunately it has not been the case. I have been supplementing with Vitamin D and K which has improved my Vat D results. I am still exhausted, have dry scalp, hair

“Fitness for Surgery” OR Pre-Op
Various soothsayers have been telling me that if your surgery does not occur within a couple of months of your “Fitness for Surgery” you have to go through it all again. Different tests stay in date for different periods. Typically, an angiogram in valid for 12 months, an echocardiogram for six months

Hello from someone new to all this PMRGCA stuff
Hello. I have ust been diagnosed with GCA three days ago on 21 Feb 2018. I'm 58 and male. Usually in good health. My apologies if this is a bit long and nerdy: I'm just finding it useful to write all down somewhere. My symptoms started on Christmas Day with very sensitive scalp and shooting pains
