Back in October when I got a cold then horrendous bronchitis lasted for 5 weeks 3 weeks of abs very breathless really awful.
I went for a chest x Ray and was then referred and saw specialist the x Ray said that the left lung was hyoerinflated. I had the CT scan 2 weeks later and that showed on hyperinflation and my specialist went through it with me and said the lungs looked good no signs of any COPD etc. I had ,y lung function test and reversibility and that was okay too, apart from my mild asthma that has flare ups especially when I get a cold.
Anyway so I should have questioned it but wasn't really myself then at all. Is it normal for a lung to become hyperinflated when one has a chest infection and then return to normal when it starts to go?
As it looks like that's what happened, either that or the original X-ray was actually someone else's. My specialist said that can sometimes happen. I'm just bit confused about it.
BTW feeling much less heady now after cold snap last week and even went for a mile jog this morning!
