How long does it take for a result of blood test for Intrinisc Factor in UK
I had blood taken on 7th December for Intrinsic Factor, no results were back ten days later when I saw my doctor on 17th, should it take so long for results ? I have neurological symptoms due to be wrongly diagnosed as suffering from ME/CFS in 2000 after attending my GP in 1990 with same symptoms, which

Insight needed
Hi, I don't want to offend anyone by posting on here, but I would just like some help with my ongoing health. I'm 20 years old and for the last 2 years I've been going to the doctors with the same symptoms: swollen lymph nodes, hot flashes with sweating (no night sweats), fatigue and general unwell feeling

Anti VEGF injections
I am having injections into my right eye every 4 weeks. My next appointment came yesterday and is actually 6 weeks since the last injection. Will 6 weeks be okay or should I try to change it? Many thanks for your advice Jane

Got the shots down to 10 weeks from 12 with GP, still massively struggling! Should I self-inject?
Hello, first post here! I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia and lack of intrinsic factor over a year ago and was given the loading shots and then put on a 12 weekly B12 injection. A few months ago I went back to the GP and begged to be given them more often, and they agreed to do it every 10 weeks

I got a chest x-ray a couple months ago and I’m all clear just wondering if any of you guys experienced

Health anxiety
Hi, I've had this for a few months now and it got a bit better and now it's getting worse again. I was having chest pains back in October and went to hospital to get checked out. I had blood tests, chest x-ray and an ECG which were all fine and I was told it was just a muscle problem and anxiety. I am

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me as I’m at my wits end! These problems started 2 and half years ago. I started with muscle spasm in my face and neck. Which led to severe pain in my upper jaw after 2 years of prodding and poking and numerous appointments with dentist and dental hospital and going

Weird cold
So, I came down with my first cold since dx 2 years ago. It started out mild but by third day my cough felt like I had broken glass in my lungs. Called pulmonologist. Nurse said come in right now (luckily I'm very close to hospital) Went in, chest x-ray, swabs, doc says all clear, just upper respiratory

Pernicious aneamia test
On reading posts it seems to be common that doctors don't give us reasons for B12 defiency. I understand about absorption problems. I've been told I've not got megoblastic aneamia Hb 13 folate 9 ferriton level 60. No antibody to intrinsic factor . Thyroid ok. Not got celilac disease. When I asked

Does anyone’s anxiety mimic a heart attack? Been going on months now...
Hey, this is my first post so please bear with me! My anxiety has really escalated over the last 2 months to the point where I was having several panic attacks a day. I even went to the hospital to get checked out due to the chest pains but after 2 blood tests, an ecg and chest x-ray all was fine. I

Me again
I’m a bit upset as I’ve just received a copy from Consultant about my last appointment. The first thing I noticed was she now says I’m seronegative when I’ve always been seropositve. It seems my inflammatory markers are normal ESR is 11 CRP 4 and Rheumatoid factor and anti-CCP antibodies are negative

Hi everyone, I’m new here but hoping I may bother you for some advice and hopefully talk me off the ledge of hypochondria? Low B12, TPO antibodies but doctors insisting it's MS
Hi all - new here You guys know so much so I'm hoping for your take on what's going on with me. Any advice on what I should do going forward i.e. getting B12 injections from GP when I'm "in range". Doctors found some demyelination on my brain MRI. Immediately the doctor said MS (probably). This was
