Im experience with PA.
I had several panic attacks, then did a blood test, which showed my red blood cell count was about half of normal and twice as big. the doctors (in Ghana) ignored and told me to go and eat some fruits lol. I did my own research and concluded that it was B12 def. I had a B12 test done and the level was

Unusual symptoms or normal?
Just diagnosed with b12 def’ following 2 blood tests. Just had first loading injection two days ago and today I feel horrendous. Stomach is bloated and feels like it’s full of acid (if that makes sense). Is this normal, off to docs for second injection tomorrow but I just feel so uncomfortable tonight

Hi Everyone! Haven’t posted much but am so pleased with all the info I read here. Sadly, I now join the countless others being dismissed by the medical profession in getting help for B12 def, etc. Finally got my (new) Dr. to let me test for Intrinsic Factor and will do that soon. Does anyone know what

Further healing through diet
At the age of 35, I was diagnosed with hashimotos. Two years ago at the age of 40, I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia, testing positive for both intrinsic factor and parietal cell antibodies. I'm now on a b12 monthly maintenance schedule and doing well. Like many here, I've also known what it's

Here we go again....
I had a g.p. appt last Tuesday (17th July) to discuss the possibility of my having B12 Deficiency, or PA. I took along with me, some paperwork that listed quite a few of the symptoms that I myself am experiencing. After relaying everything that I thought important, including low normal B12, 263ng/

Advice welcome
I have just been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis. I have had gastrointestinal problems for years, since the age of 18, and I am now 44. Just before the gastritis diagnoses I asked my GP for a B12 test as I had heard that it could be connected to stomach issues, and I had just found out my dad has

Anecdotes of cures

Intrinsic Factor vs Parietal Cell Antibodies
If a person tested positive for the intrinsic factor antibody but negative to the parietal cell antibody, would that mean that the parietal cells in the stomach are not under attack, only the intrinsic factor that those cells produce? And would that mean that the stomach might be still producing acid
