I wish I hadn’t been referred to an endocrinologist 😒
Just seen an endocrinologist for the first time. I asked the registrar to treat me according to my symptoms rather than my TSH level and he had to think about it for a while before saying I suppose we could consider that. When I said I am aiming to have a TSH around 1 with FT3 & FT4 in the upper

Hi All, I have had advise from this forum that I may need to get vitamins tested. I am 50 and just started the menopause and although I have been struggling for years with sweating and hair loss, it got unbearable. In September 2018 I was diagnosed with Hashi's, and although still just in range was

Current list of symptoms - feeling terrible. Hashimotos?
Hi all, I am beginning to feel very unwell despite being on enough Levo. I also have elevated antibodies to TPO and TG. My dose is 100mcg but I want to increase it. The highest dose I have ever been on is 200mcg Levo and I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid in 2010 though didn't receive treatment

TPO tests
Hi Everyone, I started 25mg of levothyroxine 7 weeks ago as my TSH was around 3.8 for a while. GP agreed to try this and then do fuller thyroid tests at 6 weeks. I went to see her today and she said my t4 was normal and TSH is now 2.3. I said I feel better but not right and she said she sought advice

Follow-Up from Naturopathic Doc
Opinions! So I went to a naturopathic doctor on Thursday after finding that my Cyano injections didn’t seem to be helping my symptoms (despite having them every other day). She recommended the following (i will post pics of products): B-Complex #6 as she feels that I am in need of more B6 also, Ribes

Newbie with possible thyroid problems
Hello - I am new on this thyroid forum and a 70-year-old female. I have a question about my results and symptoms. I was in touch by email last October with a retired gp regarding my B12 as I thought I may need more frequent injections owing to symptoms (I am on monthly jabs) and was preparing to inject

low dose naltrexone for CREST with Raynaud's and IBD?
Hello. Does anyone else have IBD and CREST? Technically, my GI doctor said it looks like I have "mild Crohn's activity", although there's a slight chance the small intestine inflammation could be due to SIBO. Not sure what the mild gastritis is due to, if not IBD (I don't do/use any of the gastritis

Challenging diagnosis of thyroid hormone resistance initially as Hashimoto's thyroiditis
We have many times had discussions here about how difficult it can be to be certain of thyroid diagnoses. This is a short paper which highlights one instance. Help with Test results.
I had my thyroid panel results back and am more than a little concerned. I had been feeling well and then not! So I had thyroid panel done and when the results came back, I realised I had not upped the meds for over three years. This is what set my alarm bells ringing. T4. - 33. / TSH - 11.20/

Hashimoto problems - please can anyone help? Sorry for the long post.
Here goes..... I am 32 years old and have hashi's, diagnosed Feb 2018. At the time I was diagnosed I had been feeling poorly for years and had numerous doctors appointments and tests. My symptoms were not all 'typical' hashimoto symptoms. They were - anxiety, racing heart (especially at night), dry/stinging
