Hello everyone, I hope someone is able to shed a bit of light on this crazy life of mine. I have been underactive (diagnosed and on levothyroxine for 12 years now) and, just like everyone else, has a constant battle with getting heard! Around 8/9 months ago I had a small lump appear on my collarbone

Positive TPO and now normal thyroid levels
I had a hospital appointment earlier today. My thyroid levels are normal now on carbimazole. I have to go on a reducing dose, then a maintenence dose until about April 2021. When I asked the cause, the Co sultan said its my genes. I tested positive TPO, is this graves??

Little long - TSH swinging up and down, Dr says 'wait and see' but we need IVF!
Hi there We have been trying to conceive since March 2016 - Fell pregnant in June 2017 but unfortunately had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. We have been unable to conceive since despite clomid. Last year my fertility consultant noted my TSH was 2.5 and said it was a little high - Wrote to my GP saying

Sudden high thyroid hormones - no symptoms other than a lump and very itchy rash
Posting for a friend. She has had Rheumatoid Arthritis for a number of years and was doing very well in recent months. In the last 5/6 weeks she has noticed a weird lump on her neck (not by her thyroid, it's under her jaw (see pic) - it's about a size of a grape), and has developed a very itchy rash

Wish me luck!
Hello, I'm new here, but have been following posts for a week or so and have learnt so much! I've been hypo since 2004. My (new-ish) GP is very much a "numbers man" - so not happy when my TSH went too low - but also very risk averse, so referred me to a consultant at the local hospital, who put me on

Test results
Have been subclinical for some years now but after latest test have been called to gp surgery next week to discuss results with nurse practitioner. As only TSH was tested, I ordered full tests from Blue Horizons so would have full picture, however I'm now more confused than before. Results are as follows

What is the treatment for central hypothyroidism?
Hi, I posted yesterday asking about a possible link between POTS and hypothyroidism as I was seeing the Endocrinologist. He hadn't heard of POTS before. But when he looked at my recent results, see below (currently on 45mg Erfa & 25mg Levo) he said that it seems more likely now that I have central hypothyroidism

Not hypothyroid after all but referred to rheumatologist to check for fibromyalgia and/or lupus.
Hello again everyone 😊, I posted about my worries concerning a possible Hashimoto’s flare up a couple of weeks ago and got amazing support from the community. It encouraged me to be more proactive in my research to learn why I feel so unwell all the time. I had a lot of blood tests done, including for

Is there a link between hypothyroidism and POTS?
Hi, I had a tilt table test last week for suspected POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). When I was raised into a standing position, my heart rate went from 75 to 117 immediately, and I felt very dizzy with blurry vision, felt like I was going to pass out. Heart rate stayed around 110 for

Taking Levo only as I have needed it - 5 months diary.
I have been taking levothyroxine as I have been needing it since about the start of this year. If I had hyper symptoms I lowered my dose. If I was feeling weak I increased my dose. I started keeping a diary of how much Levo I take daily since July this year. This is the result - in circles, starting

Positive TPO, borderline low T4
Hi, looking for some information. I have been suffering from quite severe symptoms of underactive thyroid, but most tests are normal, TSH 2.39. However the last tests have shown a border line low T4 (12.4/against a scale 12 - 22) and a positive test for TPO of 14.3 (scale of 0-34) My question what

Adjusting to higher dose of levo-? Only 2 weeks in (advice needed)
I have been taking 137mcg for about 2 weeks now. This is an increase for me (from 112mcg) and I was given the increase because my TSH is 5.06 (.5-4.5). I apologize for not having T3 results (long story but my doctor doesn’t normally test but I requested it be done and the lab didn’t use the revised orders

G.P. & Blood Test Advice
Hello. I posted here some weeks ago when my GP decided my problems were caused by premature menopause and didn't want to treat my raised TSH. I got some great advice, so thanks everyone. Basically I went back to the GP with NICE Guidelines and Thyroid UK symptoms all printed out and managed to move forwards

Help with my results
Hi all, I have had my results back from a recent check and before I have a follow up appointment I was hoping you might be able to advise me on what my optimal results should be (because most of them say I am "normal"/ within range). I should say, before I post results, that I have stopped taking Levo

In what conditions (other than Hasimotos) are TG Antibodies raised (but TPO AB's are not)? Also results interpretation please.
In what conditions (other than Hasimoto's) are TG Antibodies raised please? I'm struggling to obtain a clear answer on this. Below are my MediChecks full thyroid panel results; the MediChecks GP stated that my results indicate Hasimoto's, although my TSH indicates my thyroid function is "fine" currently
