Back again for help with recent blood results. Am i still a poor converter?
I am still a little confused with my most recent results , a recap: My GP instructed me to reduce my Levo from 100mcg to 75mcg, back in March when he saw that my TSH was 0.13 (0.27-4.2) I didn't want to , but was too lethargic to disagree with him. And he is only concerned about TSH, not how

Was RAI necessary?
I know it is possible to have both Graves and Hashi's. My recurrent bouts of hyperthyroidism requiring 3 years of continuous carbimazole treatment made it look like I just had Graves. Since having several private blood tests I notice my Tg antibodies are raised and my TPO are very high. Would the Hashi's

Thyroiditis of Unknown Origin - Part 2 - increasing ABs, Iron?
So I have had a private monitoring test via Thriva, basically 6 weeks since my last test. My TSH is very slowly rising but still below range and FT3 and FT4 have now fallen back to within range. Both TPO and TgAB have risen and TgAB is now considered high. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these

Hi, I’m really struggling with weight loss at the moment and even in a calorie deficit I am unable to lose anything, and am still gaining. Getting off levo is possible. My experience.
I stopped taking levothyroxine in May after weaning off it for a year and a half. For those that are interested in what happens when you wean off levo - it takes about a month/month and a half for the body to adjust to not having the external hormones coming in. For me, one of the surprising changes

Do I need T3?
Hi everyone, I’m feeling confused and after some advice. I went to see an NHS endocrinologist in January who took me off T3. He is the third NHS endo who has insisted I don’t need it. I was previously put on it by two separate (private) functional nutritionists because tests have showed that I don’t

Normal TSH but all the symptoms of Hypothyroidism and I have Hashimoto disease. Help!
Hi! I’m new here. I was diagnosed of Hashimoto disease 15 years ago and never did anything about it. The doctors always said to keep checking. For the last 2 years I’m very tired all the time, can’t loose weight (I run 3x a week for 5k, 8k and 10k) and I have a personal trainer 3 times a week as well

Introduction - Brain Abscess
Hi, Just joined the community after my wife found it useful while I was going through treatment for a brain abscess. I have had a nose about and thought I would share a fairly succinct (spoiler, it was meant to be but hasn’t transpired that way) version of my story; in case it offers any assistance to

Blood tests due
I am due to go for monitoring blood tests next week and would like some advice on what tests to ask for. Based on my last tests I feel my GP will only want to test TSH. Initially my GP did a thyroid function test which tested TSH and FT4 (Early July): TSH 52.6 (0.27-4.2), FT4 3 (11-22) I was placed

Extreme high TPO antibodies
My TPO has come back as reading 4020. I’m in shock and now worried. Can this level be an indication of anything more serious?

Understanding hypothyroidism and hashimotos
I’ve got an endo referral from my GP and I’m now waiting for an appointment. I’m looking for an understanding/insight into this so I can ask questions at my appointment that are relevant to my symptoms. What is hashimotos? and why hashimotos disease happens? I’ve been taking levo for over 20 years

Hello lovely people. I hope everyone is holding up in these intense times 🙏🏾💜 I was diagnosed hypo over 5yrs ago but had a terrible for a few years until I paid a fortune for many private tests and they found that I was u able to convert. Once I started taking t3 that helped. Around mid March I believe

Latest blood test - am so discouraged - overmedicated to undermedicated
Hello again. Am beside myself on trying to figure out what to do. Very long story short, I was overmedicated and very ill for most of 2018 and diagnosed Jan of 2019 with "iatrogenic hyperthyroidism". Per doc, stopped my thyroid meds and numbers have stayed in range on NO meds since Jan 2019 - not
