CCG now refusing INR test strips on prescription
This has meant that I have been able to control my INR whilst travelling world wide for both work and pleasure as well as having several minor operations where I have had to come off Warfarin and self inject with
Clexane
. This has worked well up until this week.

Warfarin resistance ?
Hello everyone, I've been on warfarin ever since my dignosis in 1999 but have recently had a baby so was on
clexane
jabs. I've been back on warfarin since may but I have not yet got back into my range of 2.5 - 3.5 (target 3), my INR is currently 2.2 a drop from 2.4 2 weeks ago.

Has anyone had very low blood pressure along with undiagnosed illness which went along with a flare-up of APS symptoms?
However, INR crashed to 1.3, even with warfarin and
clexane
, blood pressure was 90/40 and only increased after 24 hrs of iv fluids. Any ideas?? Hxx.

Unstable INR
Within a week I can go from an INR of + 8 to an INR of 1.6 and so I have to use
clexane
injections regularly. My target range is 3 - 4. I eat as closely as possible to the same amount of greens each day, I very rarely drink alcohol.

New here and is heparin OK long term?
But I have heard that being on
Clexane
long term can cause osteoporosis and is not ideal. My GP wouldn't even entertain the idea when I asked her about it. Is anyone else on
Clexane
or another Low Weight Molecular Heparin instead of Warfarin?

I need help! Prof. Khasmashta treated me with Clexane & since then I have tried other meds, that are not working. Anyone else
Khasmashta in April & he prescribed
Clexane
. It was a miracle & I was able to walk better, it actually felt easier to walk. I felt like if things progressed I would be out of the chair in a few months. I ran out of
Clexane
& they claimed Lovenox was equal. It just did not work the same.

I went from being excited because I had a diagnosis & a treatment , to totally depressed and frustrated.
He wanted to keep me on the
clexane
. One problem
clexane
is not available in the USA, Lovenox is. They are comprable but not the same. My luck-lovenox did not work as great. The increased the dose I had a migrane, neck & back ache, and ended up in ER.

Should I expect this from Clexane Trial (APS)?
I've been put on a
Clexane
trial - 0.6 injections + 75mg asprin per day (S-APS). I don't find the injections that painful and the bruising is a very insignificant price to pay for hope. The first couple of days were like I had new limbs, everything felt different.

What do I do, I need clexane because my blood is not thinning?
I had kept one injection of the
clexane
just in case. I took the
clexane
& bounced back. I told the doctor. He decided to start on the warfarin. I am taking Arista (injectable like
clexane
) & warfarin. After being on
clexane
for a month, 2 days of warfarin & Arista my INR is 1.

Translating concerns into action
He acknowledged that, given my history, low INRs need to be taken more seriously and has agreed to provide a 7 day
Clexane
prescription automatically any time my INR drops below therapeutic range, and that my INR needs to be brought quickly back into range.
