Asthma Medicines that don't Aggravate RLS

Though Claritin does not aggravate my RLS (I routinely have taken Claritin for seasonal allergies without illl effect), it has done nothing to relieve my current breathing difficulties. My next appointment with my GP is in a few days.

Later I read that Claritin taken 5 days prior to the injection will help severity of the sickness. Has anyone had this experience? I took a Claritin last night. Another suggestions. Thanks for sharing Kathy

EXTREME bone pain with Neupogen injections, advise welcome!

His specialist recommended a hot bath, Claritin, and Tylenol. I also have a heating pad on his back. Just wondering how long this will last and how he is going to get through the next two injections, hoping it doesn't get any worse! Perhaps his body will adjust??? Thanks to all in this group!!!

Husband FINALLY got last O infusion after Neutro bump in the road!

What we have learned: Neutropenia - Claritin is your new best friend; take it BEFORE each injection and one week after the final injection. It WILL get better Celebrate EACH milestone... we did it with lobster tails in front of our big TV!

Update 6.9 Good News - New Old News

No issues with the itching/rash lately so the Claritin seems to be working (or I am just adapting to the Besremi). Most importantly I am feeling great these days. My quality of life is certainly better since starting on the Interferons. New Old News. Very peculiar.

Docetaxel Chemo: What Helped Me…

Starting with infusion 3, I started taking 10 mg of Claritin once a day the day before, the day of and two days after. This seemed to help with the achiness I was feeling. Other people I know receiving chemo did this as well. I tried it and it worked well for me.

Cinetidine & Loratadine ect

Anyone know of research Cimetidine (tagamet) and Loratadine (Claritin)? Is it ok to take antihistamines like loratadine, zyrtec, or allegra with CLL? Are any of the other names listed suspected as beneficial?

Update 6.7

Fortunately the itching I was getting has not recurred since I have been on daily Claritin. We did confirm that the incident of arthralgia I had in my knee was most likely a Besremi AE. I have also had some issues in my ankle that are not clear.

Update 6.5

Fortunately that has been well controlled with Claritin. If it appears I will not tolerate the 150mcg dose, the MPN-doc wants me to drop back to 125mcg and try that. He does feel the Besremi adverse effects are dose related. We will just have to see how it goes.

Treatment update... Back on the chemo

Also they suggested Claritin as an off label drug to help with the pain from the Neulasta... That seems to work and I have seasonal allergies anyway so that's a twofer. Must be Claritin, not benedril or any other.

Update 6.4

Also note that since I have started taking Claritin daily, the itching/pop-up rashes have stopped. [/i] I just met with my wonderful local hematologist about the ongoing treatment and continue ongoing consultation with the MPN Specialist.

Do anti histamines intensify Tinnitus?

I find that when I take an antihistamine, such as Claritin, my recent onset of tinnitus, especially the hissing, is intensified. Does anyone else experience this?
