😔. Cetirizine stopped most of my itching.Maybe try a topical anti itch cream ?

I dont think that could work as its head to toe and on head . So could be head , then foot , then face then leg then stomach so you would need a gallon of cream per night from head to toe . I will try Cetirizine again but take it earlier. Thanks x

I've found 2 research studies.Zofran or naloxone reduce opioid induced pruritis.

However, getting zofran from a GP may be difficult! My GP says she can't prescribe it. So in my area, only a hospital pharmacy can prescribe.

Naloxone is used in Targinact to stop opioid induced constipation.

You could ask your GP for a small dose of naloxone?

Ive confused myself , i was thinking you take clarityn but you dont .Can I get cetirizine over the counter ? Dont think my present gp will issue anything as not interested. Once Im asleep its not a problem , its getting to sleep !

Cetirizine is dirt cheap. It's available from most chemists or online. I get the generic version which costs around 50p for a packet of 14. I buy from Amazon. But maybe it's the low dose pregabalin that's also helping in my case?

I use an homeopathic ointment made by Nelson's (020 7629 3118) as it contains nettle extract (Urtica Urens) . It is greasy so helps the dry skin as well! Janet

Thank you , I couldnt use cream as the itch moves every few seconds so I would need a gallon !

I have the same side effect from Buprenorphine. It constantly moves all around my body. I also get insomnia from the Buprenorphine and the two side effects seem to occur together. I’m not sure if the itching causes the insomnia or the insomnia keeps me awake so that I’m more aware of the itching. BUT BOTH ARE MUCH BETTER THAN SUFFERING WITH THE RLS TORTURE!
