Pred makes me dizzy
Is that normal? I only take prednisolone so there's nothing else to blame. I feel fine every morning, no dizziness or wobbliness, until a few minutes after I take the pred during breakfast and then I have to move about very carefully for several hours. Blood pressure's fine. I don't think it's adrenal

Pneumonia and collapsed lung after catching the ‘100 day cough’
For all you folks who have Lupus, please be careful of this ‘100’ day cough that is going around at the moment, as this is what caused me to end up in hospital. I was diagnosed with Lupus in February 2022. I’ve had a rough ride for the past few years, ending up in hospital every year for one thing

Prednisolone Belly
Good afternoon everyone, I am 56 years of age and I have been on and off Prednisolone the majority of my life. I understand its a double edged sword as it has kept me alive but on the downside it has left me over the last 10 years with a large pot belly, I only weigh 10 stone, yet I look as though I

Tapering Prednisolone below 5mg
Having started at 20mg 2 years ago, I am currently on week 2 of the DL 5 week tapering Plan from 5.5mg to 5.0mg, which was always the level my GP initially said I should be aiming for. Having just read another post about a Flare when below 5mg, this appears to be a common problem, and is something

Finally off Prednisolone and methotrexate
I have had PMR /GCA for 9 years and started at 60mg of prednisolone and shortly after was prescribed Methotrexate. I am pleased to say that finally I have been able to taper off both and have not taken any for the last two months. I am aware that it could return but would like to share this so that people

PMR and gastroenteritis
Diagnosed just over 2 years ago, started on 15mg prednisolone, now down to 5.5. Very slow tapering programme, following advise here, working well with flare-ups managed as advised. Suffering an episode of gastroenteritis, which is taking longer to clear up than I would normally expect. Able to take

PMR or arthritis?
I was diagnosed with PMR a few years ago and have gone through the process of taking 15mg prednisolone and then reducing- now stuck at 6mg and have tried a few times to drop a bit without success. About three or four months ago I began to have a very tight lower back and this became sciatic pain for

Experience with Clexane and Prednisolone?
I am on the RIF protocol (3rd round) and was wondering if anyone has any experience with taking Clexane and Prednisolone? I've also been asked to take Aspirin. Has anyone just had the Clexane injections without the Prednisolone? I read that there is a risk to the baby's growth when taking Prednisolone

Prednisolone 0.5mg
Hi Everyone, This is actually a follow-up to a previous post which I had told DorsetLady I would keep her informed about. I was issued a prescription for Prednisolone 0.5mg, in fact he offered it! I thought it would be refused by the senior partner when I requested it again on Tuesday but this was

hip stiffness
I was finally diagnosed with PMR in July last year although I’d had all the symptoms for over 6 months. I was prescribed 20 mg prednisolone as a starting point and have tapered to 12mg. Probably should have stayed on 13mg until after our holiday as after 5/6 days I am getting aches and stiffness in

to reduce or not?
I was diagnosed with PMR and GCA in February last year and put on 60 mg prednisolone. I am now down to 12.5 mg and was supposed to reduce today, but this morning I awoke with a sore throat and wondering whether I might be going to develop the nasty chest infection that my niece got while I was staying
