Well it seems I have become castrate resistant. Psa rose after my December 2020 6 month Eligard shot to 2.18 from 0.78 in 10 weeks. Had a one month Lupron shot and dropped to 1.45 but in mid May was back up to 1.78. So here we go on the next step in this pathway. I had radiation and bracy boost in

I'm going to start Taxotere, what are the experiences that you guys have had with it?
I know not everyone has the same reaction, but I'm going to start Taxotere the first of May. I know these medicines supposed to last for 2 years but when I was first diagnosed I got the testosterone production halted, radiation, and started on some pills. No idea what they were. They only lasted about

Rising psa and colon cancer
Hi Brothers, Last year I had a rising psa that went from undetectable <.0014 to .053. I had a colonoscopy and the gi dr found a stage 1 cancer that he scooped out and thinks he got it all. Anyway cause margin was thin the guidelines are to resect colon from ascending to a bit of the transverse colon

Has anyone had success re-starting medicine after Chemo?
I was thinking unless I am mistaken, people have said after Chemo, certain medicines work much better since I mentioned in a previous post, Xtandi stopped working after probably two months and since it shot up so high (about 1.9 points a day after doing the math) Doc wants me to start Chemo. He just

Reducing zytiga dose
Hi, my full story is in my profile, but a recap: 10 years ago, prostate removed; then radiation; then Lupron. Recent events: Became ADT resistant, mets in lymph nodes. Stayed on Lupron, added Casodex- bad reaction to Casodex. Switched to 1000mg zytiga and 10 mg prednisone- PSA dropped from 34 to .19.

150mg Casodex Helps
So far 150mg seems to help. I had radiation, skipped most of Lupron and went with 150mg Casodex instead. ============================================================= A Randomised Comparison of Bicalutamide (‘Casodex’) 150 mg versus Placebo as Immediate Therapy Either Alone or as Adjuvant to Standard

Rising Psa while on Lupron and Casodex
I have been on Lupron and Casodex since October of 2018. PSA has been undetectable <.01 for 2 years. In January of 2021, psa was .1. My last psa in April 2021 was .2. Can anyone tell me what is causing this rise and psa and should I be overly concerned. What would be next steps if psa continues to rise

QOL during salvage?
Would appreciate some guidance. I’m 58, T3b Nx, Gleason 7, 4+3, PSA topped out at 120 before RP 23 months ago. Prior to surgery, PSMA indicated no spread. I am considered high-risk by my care team at B&W (but decipher score only 4.1). PSA steadily increased to .07, over last 6 months. About to do

I am new here-where do I start?
Hello, I was diagnosed with Metastatic Prostate Cancer, I have had one injection of Firmagon in March and I am to go for a bone enhancement this Wed. April 7th. (I do not know what Meds I am getting for that yet.) they started me on 60 mg of Casodex. Is this the normal routine and protocol for starters

Beast has returned
My G9 prostate was removed in 2014. PSA went to <0.1 for 18 months then rose to 0.18. Received 44 doses of radiation and Lupron in 2017. PSA fell to <0.1 until November 2020. However, my PSA level this week was 0.2. Looks like the beast has returned and it is time to seek a MO. I see no reason to return

Casodex and headaches
Been on casodex for two months and just added trelstar about a month ago. Starting to feel breast pain and getting hot flashes so I’m used to that from prior time. What I don’t remember is if I had these intermittent headaches that move around my head. Anyone have that as an issue? Thanks. Mike

My Intermittent Bicalutamide mono therapy
Following PSA recurrence in late 2014 I've been treated by bicalutamide 50 mg. In Sept 2020 we decided to give a break and stopped all medication (bicalutamide and tamoxifen). At that time my PSA was 0.02 and testosterone only 58. Note that tamoxifen is causing my T level to go down. Anyway, I am

What should I do next?
Hi to all. Reading your posts is both informative and entertaining with a touch of sadness. It really is a journey to be a member of this club ( which no one wants to join and which takes a heavy toll on our caregivers as well). Some of you are extremely generous with your time and knowledge and I admire
