So here I am
In the last quarter of 2013 I began having erection and urination issues, which the urologist treated as BCH. Then in Feb. 2014 in my regular annual physical my PSA came in @ 5.0 and I had discussions with the urologist again and we decided to closely monitor, but took no tests. In July 2014 I began

Intro
I was diagnosed at 56 in 2012. PSA 8.0 Initial biopsy showed positive cores with Glesason 3 + 4. Sent biopsy to Johns Hopkins which read it 4 +5. Went to MD Anderson. Evaluated treatment options and third read was 3 +4. CT showed one pelvic lymph node was slightly enlarged, but not enough to be considered

First 3 months on combined androgen blockade...

Starting PSA was 5,006.4
In November 2013 I was in a Northern California emergency room with severe lower back pain at age 65. Turned out I had previously undiagnosed, widespread metastatic prostate cancer. PSA was 5,006.4, with testosterone level of 908, and Alkaline Phosphatase around 424. Nuclear medicine bone scan lighted

My Intro - Ned in St Louis
I was diagnosed at age 60, in Aug 2010, with 12 positive cores out of the 12 sampled in my biopsy! I had lost my mother to colon cancer when she was age 59, and my secret goal was to at least make it past that age. The urologist called me, very concerned with those results, the DAY AFTER my 60th birthday

Low PSA with a Gleason 8 diagnosis
I was diagnosed with prostatitis and BPH (Benign Prostate Hyperplasia) in 2001, but since my PSA level remained around 1.5 for the next seven years, my primary care physician always assumed it was simply an enlarged prostate she was feeling via the DRE (Digital Rectal Examination) at my annual physical

Zytiga and Xtandi .... what do you think about this?
Diagnosed in ‘2008 at the age of 50. Because it was in his lymph node, he went with Casodex (30 days), Lupron (2 years) and radiation (40 external beam). In ‘2012 he did Taxotere when his PSA had a one month doubling rate. Planned to do 6 months, but was stopped at four months with heavy side effects
