Last year I had a rising psa that went from undetectable <.0014 to .053. I had a colonoscopy and the gi dr found a stage 1 cancer that he scooped out and thinks he got it all. Anyway cause margin was thin the guidelines are to resect colon from ascending to a bit of the transverse colon. Well I went back on trelstar and casodex In January after a two year vacation so I had a ct scan last week and it was all normal. Had blood work and I now have my < symbol back and I’m <..001. I’m wondering if my psa went down to undetectable due to gi dr scooping out the cancer or is it just the trelstar and casodex that dropped it? Is there a correlation? Thanks for your knowledge!

Thanks, brother. I'm doing very well (for the time being )
Your colon cancer is a good warning for all of us to watch other cancers/health conditions.
We have prostate cancer and it is perhaps too easy to focus exclusively on it without thinking about what other risks we have. Unfortunately, we're not in this boat because our cancer is advanced but more men with prostate cancer die of cardiac issues than from prostate cancer itself. I don't know what the stats are for advanced prostate cancer. Be nice to know.
