We are developing an intervention for chronic back pain (back pain lasting more than 3 months) and we want to hear your opinion!

We would like to invite you to participate in a small group discussion at Guy's Campus, King's College London.

During this 2-hour discussion, you will have the opportunity to share your experience of living with chronic back pain. Your views are important and will shape the work we do.

When: 17th or 18th or 19th of July (please choose the day that suits you best)

To say thank you for your participation, we will reimburse your travel expenses.

If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Zora at ppi.backpain@gmail.com or visit website linktr.ee/chronicbackpain for more information.

Thank you!

Hi Madlegs1,

Thank you for your interest in our project. Sadly, we do not have fundings to cover international travels.

However, you are very welcome to join us remotely on July 24th via Teams from 4 to 6 pm, if that works for you.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions!

I would be interested if could do zoom. I do live in London but am not well enough (mainly due to spinal/back injury) to travel to you.

Hello Zora. David here after just posting'war & peace' of back problens with my 1st day of membership. I would love to be part of your discussion butzoom etc will be best for me but I hve not discounted attending just yet. Either way it will be 'informative' and perhaps break the 'run of the mill' surgery that may end one physical pain and leave mental pain instead. David. FYI my username is sirmutterley1@gmail.com- named after my doggy.

how I would love to be there, I doubt that you are going to reimburse me travel from Australia, but I would love to have transcripts and notes from all three days. Right up my alley and new and improved is all brilliant. What I want help with is getting off Fentanyl whist still being on a pain med. I am beyond no pain meds, but hate Fentanyl and can not find anyone, anywhere that will help me. Seriously. NO ONE will help me. Can you ? Harrington Rods implanted 1990 after anterior fusion with bank bone (Dr. White) UCSF California ... a few other spinal surgeries and Hans Uri Bueff gave me back my life with these rods. I bent a rod in a horse riding accident in 2010 when a horse fell on me bending one of my rods. The left side rod is now impeding on my spinal column and I am unable to walk a few days a week.

38 years is a long time and taking these rods out/replacing them is not an option apparently. Please keep me posted.

Kindest Regards.

I am interested but live too far away, in North Wales. I am unable to travel. Same story as most others who have replied. My back is unstable. I would love to know the outcome of your intervention technique. Thank you, from Isobel. x

I would dearly love to attend one of your meetings but I have similar mobility issues as other responders in that I cannot walk or stand for longer than a few minutes. I too would welcome participation via zoom if it’s possible. I live in Hove and am 83 and female.

Kind regards

Hope it’s ok to reply to you. I’m 77 and live in North Wales. I cannot walk (except for a few steps to my car) or stand for more than a few minutes. I don’t drive for more than a 20 mile radius. I don’t expect to be doing this for very much longer but, hey ho I’m still here! Take care, Isobel x

Hello Zora; I know I've missed the date for the 'in person' meeting but if you do another one for Research I would certainly like to know. My CRPS2 is related to an RTC polytrauma. Just if you were holding a list for future, maybe, as I would like to come up to London, too, where I used to live. Thank you.

Hello Zora It was good to attend the Teams Meeting with you and your Study colleagues on 11/9. You did mention that an Amazon voucher for £10 would be given ... sorry to pursue this but I haven't received anything from you post-Meeting. Is it on it's way? It would be useful to buy Vitamin D for my bones!! Thank YOU. Isabel

Hi Isabel,

Apologies for this. It should be proceeded, but let me look into it right now. I will get back to you ASAP. I will send you a direct message once I hear back from my colleague who is in charge of vouchers.
