Can miscarriages last 10 hours only?
I was 5 + 1 weeks pregnant yesterday following a FET with a PGS tested embryo. I’m 40 and this is my first ever pregnancy. Everything was looking good with great HCG levels. I was healthy so was my uterus. Then yesterday morning I woke to a dull ache in my lower abdomen, just like when I’m about to get

Revolution of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Therapy: the Chemo-Free Treatment Paradigm
February 2020 A long paper and too much information to be able to summarise in this post but a nice account of current treatments, response rates, trial details and issues of resistance/intolerance. High, medium, low IVF medication dose and cost
Hi all, On my first failed cycle I had AMH 20 and responded well to the drug protocol (20 eggs produced, though quality not so good and only 3 blastocysts). I don't have a consultation for FET for a while and in the meantime I'm wondering how relatively high my drug protocol was? - I am 41 and had

Time-to-progression after front-line FCR for CLL: a retrospective, multicohort study
It has been known for some time that FCR can produce very long remissions (perhaps cures) for some patients with mutated CLL. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4760129/ This study looks at unmutated patients and could be an important study for CLL patients or, on the other hand, completely

Do all novel drugs "clear" CLL cells in blood, lymph nodes and bone marrow?
Do all novel drugs (non-chemotherapy) "clear" CLL cells in blood, lymph nodes and bone marrow? Or perhaps some drugs clear CLL cells only in blood, but are unable to get into bone marrow?

Should i be nervous about EC?
Hey all, i'm starting my first NHS round of IVF in November. Can't quite believe it's here after waiting so long! Should i be nervous about EC? I had a horrendous experience with the HCG test, so painful. Will it be as bad as that??

Support group for potential grandparents?
This is my first post here. Does anyone know of a support group for the parents (probably specifically mothers) of those struggling to conceive? My daughter and her wife have been trying for about three years. My daughter-in-law has endometriosis and so it's not possible to retrieve eggs from her -

I’m always tired!
The chronic fatigue is really getting to me. I’m stage one, with running an 130 acre farm, plus working 40 + hours a week. Is the anything I can do to give me more energy?

Hcg levels?
So I had my blood test today to confirm pregnancy and my HCG levels are 1233 at 5 weeks. Is this normal/good? I want to get excited but I am scared of something going wrong. I've got a scan booked for 24th September. 🤞🙏

Day 258: Colds and Tiredness
It's amazing how a cold and tiredness can kill your motivation and turn your healthy eating on it's head. Time to pick myself up, dust myself off and try again tomorrow. Had a burger, two beers and a Choux bun! Going to try and keep myself busy and stocked up on water tomorrow to see if I can make it

Pneumonia vaccination
I am a 70 year old CLL patient in remission for 3 years after BR. I have just had a flu jab so that's good but I am still a bit confused about the pneumonia vaccination. I had pneumovax last year and I'm told that that's a one-off and I don't need any more. I have though read that what should happen
