Pneumonia vaccination
I am a 70 year old CLL patient in remission for 3 years after BR. I have just had a flu jab so that's good but I am still a bit confused about the pneumonia vaccination. I had pneumovax last year and I'm told that that's a one-off and I don't need any more. I have though read that what should happen

HCG Intra-uterine flushing - Update
HCG Intra-uterine flushing - Update Hello everybody, So I had the HCG flushing 2 days ago and had my transfer today. It is pretty much like an embryo transfer but the catheter contains a few ml of the HCG hormone (500) in a medium which is then squirted into the uterus. This is still experimental

I've just got a postive on a hcg urine test after a frozen cycle, following on from a previous cycle where I also got pregnant but sadly miscarried at 5 weeks. We've been trying for almost three years, and with the previous miscarriage I don't know how to relax and not expect the worse again. Has anyone

Disease Flare During Temporary Interruption of Ibrutinib Therapy in Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia ( CLL ) - Pseudo Richters
Several of us have reported our CLL symptoms have come roaring back after discontinuing Ibrutinib/imbruvica with even a few cases of what's been termed pseudo-Richters, where some patients appear to have even undergone unnecessary R-CHOP chemoimmunotherapy as our member Priss69 has reported:

Hi ladies, So it’s finally my time to share a scan picture. It’s been a rocky few weeks starting with low HCG levels, some bleeding & my first scan without a heartbeat. Corneal Herpes
Has anyone experienced herpes simplex (cold sore variety) on their cornea? My eye doc says it will leave some scarring. I’m fortunate it was not within my field of vision.

Bleeding and miscarried 😢
How can something that was apart of me for just a month leave such sorrow. Viability scan was booked for tomorrow (4th). Last Saturday woke up feeling like I had no energy at all. Went to the loo and noticed bleeding. Contacted my emergency out of hours number who told me to call the hospital on Monday

Ibrutinib plus fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab as initial treatment for younger patients with CLL
This is an abstract from the Lancet article. There's a fair bit of detail missing regarding the profile of the CLL patients in terms of IgHV mutation status etc and the follow up is still very short but they are claiming that this is the best response ever published in patients with CLL unrestricted
