First Time Post: CLL in full relapse mode + vaccines and Calquence next line of defense.
Hi all - my name is Tim and Im from Seattle. This is my first post here though I’ve been following HealthUnlocked for my CLL diagnosis back in 2018. Unfortunately my leukemia is back after nearly 2 years of remission with FCR. I’ve undergone the typical CLL tests and was ‘relieved’ to find it had not

Ricther Transformation - Derek May has left us.
Hello everyone. It is always my turn to deliver the bad news. Tonight Derek May left us. Two weeks ago Derek made the difficult decision to continue treatment or discontinue it. Possible Richter’s Transformation?
My husband had tonsilitis In late December early January and seems to have recover from that. Then, unfortunately, he was in contact with someone positive for Covid and contracted It. He had a difficult time of it he wasn’t hospitalized but came close. During his quarantine, when he was almost finished

How to request test for chromosome 17p deletion, TP 53 mutation; unmutated immunoglobulin heavy chain variable region (IgHV) in Canada?
We live in Brampton, Ontario in Canada. My wife diagnosed with CLL in Dec 2020. We did not have the opportunity to talk to a hematologist in person and appointment only by phone and the Hematologist said it is CLL and nothing to be worried just the w & w situation. When I start questioning further

Does green tea extract (EGCG can) reduce WBC in CLL?
I have read some positive things about green tea extract to treat CLL so our Hematologist said just W & W but we could not stop and search about the CLL and its alternative methods of treatment from food and tea etc. Finally, we found that EGCG is useful to reduce the WBC or postpone development symptoms

Passive vaping: an impending threat to bystanders.
Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), also known as vapes, are gaining popularity among youths in many parts of the world, including the US and Europe. These young vapers are often unaware their e-cigarettes contain nicotine, an addictive substance that is also present in tobacco cigarettes. Little

💔💔💔 Abdominal ultrasound at 6+1
Hello fam! I just need to share. I’m really heartbroken. I had my BFP but I haven’t had a single symptom of pregnancy not even my boobs (they r so light, lighter than normal). HCG results day 14 post transfer, 228, day 16 448, and day 18 668. I’m currently 6+1 today and decided to go for ultrasound

Yesterday spotting got a bit heavier, although had hardly anything this morning. When I have bled it doesn’t go on a pad

Great sign bfp early ??
Can I ask why people say it’s a great sign getting a BFP so early after transfer. (Without hcg trigger) I can’t find anything that would back this up, Relating to miscarriage, other risks, percentage of pregnancies continued etc.... obviously looking for line progression is a good indicator too, but

sensitive hcg numbers?
Hi everyone it’s been awhile since I posted on here but I had a beta test yesterday at 10dp5dt and the results came back today at 187 so confirms pregnancy but I really hoped they would be higher I’m booked in again for another test tomorrow but I’m worried that my numbers are low. With my last pregnancy

HCG results are in.... Day 27 - 906
Hi ladies Had my HCG on day 27 it’s 906, anyone had a result like this? I know I ovulated early on day 10 - day 11. Ive had my Prolactin checked after stoping my bromcriptine medication, since falling pregnant on day 21 it was 256 and on day 27 now 1261. Hopefully this stops me testing for reassurance

How to Talk to Your Doctor About Fatigue So You Can Start Feeling Better
Fatigue is notoriously challenging for psoriatic arthritis patients and their doctors to discuss and manage, but better care starts with better communication. Chlorambucil
I had Chlorambucil along with Rituximub infusions which put me in remission for 2 years. The only side effects were nausea. They tried me initially on Obinutzumib but I had anaphylaxis and it was terminated. Hope this helps. Jan x

Antibody test
I just got my 2nd covid vaccination, Moderna. I would like to get an antibody test in a few weeks to make sure it did the job since they don't know yet whether the vaccine will work with CLL. Has anyone else done/ considered this idea? Is it even feasible?
