Pain Concern
I’m waiting for my 7th referral to the Pain Clinic. My first was in 2014. I have read all the information again and again and again and nothing has changed. Why am I expected to go through this all over again when nothing has changed (apart from incomplete/out of date sites). It seems I just have to

Moving forward
Before my diagnosis, I had various symptoms that I could not control, and afterward would lose parts of my memories, it was people's names and events later I had a seizure but sometimes in my sleep. It was either when I was fully awake and alert and I could see my surroundings but then if I did have

Pain Clinics
1. I attended my 1st PC in 2012 (Cambridge) following spinal decompression which was successful but I also had fibromyalgia. 2. Transferred to 2nd Peterborough PC due to travel problems. Sat through excruciatingly painful group sessions relating to the Biopsychosocial Model and Mindfulness. Course

Home from Neuro
Today was my 6 month appt with my Neuro. I told her about a horrible breakthrough migraine I had over the past weekend. I am to take 800mg of Ibroproferin. She sent a prescription for Sumatriptan to my pharmacy that I could take if it happens again. If it happens again, and the ibroproferin doesn't

Aortic valve replacement recuperation
Hi, I am scheduled for AVR (hemi-sternotomy and tissue valve) on 8 May and am interested to hear of others feedback as to recuperation. If all goes well with the op I expect to back home within the week. I've been told that after 6 weeks I should be back doing most daily activities. albeit gradually

How Do you Know When You're On Enough B12?
I'm normally on the thyroid forum but have posted on here a few times and I would value your expertise. Sorry for the magnum opus post 😁 I've been on B12 injections for a number of years, used to be every 13 weeks but as I have other conditions, Fibro, Ehlers Danlos and hypothyroid and I've had persistent

Hi All I hope everyone is well and enjoying whatever sunshine some of us are getting now. I have not been on here in a while. Life & work is manic but plan to pop an update on whats been happening with me. But for now, I have a quick question on use of cupping from massage / alternative practitioners

sit on plastic bag on car seat - if it helps - for ease of movement getting in and out
chiropractor suggested to my Mum. so we use it. car seat is leather, doesn't catch as much as fabric?, but it's still helpful.

FND Dr.
I just went to a chiropractor who calls himself A functional neurology specialist. Besides the fact that he told me it was all in my head. Even though I gave him medical papers, he then proceeded to tell me that I have an upside down tree in my body and the branches of the trees are causing me to have

Some Tentative Good News
I'm hesitant to jinx things but I've spoken several times on the forum about my battles over the last two years with dizziness and severe balance issues. Which literally came on overnight. Was diagnosed with Vestibular Migraine which I've never really accepted, I think the Neurologist and ENT consultant

6 MONTH PMR UPDATE
My last update was 6 months ago. Since then, I have tapered 100% off of prednisone. My inflammation markers have normalized. I have been turned over to my primary care provider from Rheumatology. I have went back to work part-time without issue. Despite my theory it was my infected tooth that caused

2 years with constant headache and muscle pain
My girlfriend has been struggling with a constant headache for 2 years now. It's accompanied by muscle pain in the neck and shoulders. It's taking its toll, mentally, emotionally, and financially. We've seen so any doctors both private and on the NHS. We've tried Botox, acupuncture, prolozone therapy
