6 MONTH PMR UPDATE

My last update was 6 months ago. Since then, I have tapered 100% off of prednisone. My inflammation markers have normalized. I have been turned over to my primary care provider from Rheumatology. I have went back to work part-time without issue.

Despite my theory it was my infected tooth that caused my markers to rise, this was debunked by rheumatology. They indeed believe I had PMR. Of course, some Rheumatologist did not believe this to be the case, and perhaps prolonged or caused an increase duration of torture. Does not matter at this point, or does it?

I am currently in pain, but I truly believe this is osteoarthritis in my lower back. This pain is constant and ongoing. Currently taking NSAIDS and Tylenol to control the pain. It brings it to a manageable level. Hoping to use alternative means such as weight reduction, yoga, exercise and chiropractor to assist. Last resort would be steroid shots. I have imaging to state I have moderate to severe spinal degeneration in the lumbar--> sacral region. I have an appointment with my PCM in a few weeks.

I wanted to thank you all for the support over the past couple years. You all truly helped me get through a dark time. Truly appreciate it.
