Tinnitus and Meniere's
Has anyone ever received Intratympanic steroid injection in their ear(s) for Tinnitus or Meniere's? I was just curious if it was worth it and made matters better. Is the injection painful or create other issues? My ENT has recommended it for my left ear which has a variety of issues. Thanks.

Finally a little light!
Many of you have been kind in giving me advice and support over the last year, especially when I was 'wading through treacle'. A few weeks ago I had another steroid injection and leflunomide added to my MTX. I hardly dare say this but I'm actually starting to feel better. My joints have gone down so

high amh levels
I’ve been told my AMH levels are 67.1, way out of the normal range. Have PCOS and thin lining which is likely due to high AMH. I have a cycle of 33-35 days but light periods. Having a hycosy this week. Is ovulation induction unlikely to be an option? Thanks

Pes Anserine Bursitis - steroid injection offered.
On Thursday I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who had previously been quite impatient and dismissive of me. I made up my mind to give him the briefest details of my woes over the last 9 months. (This is a 6 monthly appointment 😂). He was happy for me to continue with my slow tapering and then

After COVID vaccination, when do ‘side effects’ become an ‘adverse reaction’?
Hi I just had my regular seasonal COVID vaccination and with my previous 3 vaccinations my side effects have been awful. I purposely book them for a Friday as I know I will be out of action all weekend and I do not have to miss work every time. The effects are headaches, fever, nausea and basic pain

Everlasting Cold
I am on day 20 of this cold that just doesn’t seem to go away. Not Covid, grateful for that but the amount of mucus I produce is never ending. Not running a fever but just tired of the congestion and coughing. Is there any use in seeing my doctor considering I am probably just dealing with an ordinary

covid recovery
hi all, Hubby had cold symptoms last week and tested positive, I felt ok at the time but had a faint line. Roll on 6 days I’ve had the all over aches, hot and cold sweats, pain in my throat, unbelievable sneezing and runny nose, a bit of a cough but not much. Most of that has gone except for that familiar

Couch to 5k to covid😕
Hello. My 2nd attempt at Couch to 5k and all was going ok.... apart from somehow straining my ribs in week 1, which are still a bit sore in week 5. And now I have covid. Any tips on how long to wait before I run again. Its day 4 and I'm still feeling weak and achy.... thank you!

Totally distraught and worried!!!
Hi everyone, I’m so scared. I really need someone to tell me everything will be okay. I keep crying as I’m so distraught this has happened. My husband is amazing but can only do and say so much as this isn’t happening to him. I really need hope right now. I’m soon to be 42 and am 5 months postpartum

I developed infantile eczema in 1942 when my mother was unable to breast feed me anymore and I was transferred to a powdered milk. The eczema plagued me into my early twenties before almost disappearing. In December 2022 I was diagnosed with Covid. A few days later I was aware of two itchy red spots

just been reading that the covid booster can bring on another episode of af in some people. Never even thought of that when I booked mine. I’m due to have it next Wednesday 2 days before I go on holiday. My last holiday last month was spent mostly in hospital due to another episode. This is why I’m having

What is classed as a flare?
Hi, I was diagnosed in November, had a steroid injection and started on MTX, once the steroid started wearing off the pain and swelling in my knees returned straight away but not in my hands, they have been great. Had a load of fluid sucked out of my knee and another steroid injection about 6 weeks ago

New GCA treatment
Three years since I read everything about PMR and now revisiting everything. Scary. 48 hours since treatment started (60mg) and headaches almost gone and most jaw pain / difficulty gone. Except husband cooked Brussels sprouts which I struggled to eat (usually lovely then). Question: I know steroids

Covid, Flu and RSV vaccines
I’m looking for advice on spacing vaccines. I received the newest Covid vaccine on Sept 20. Is it best to space out the flu and RSV vaccines or receive them the same day? I am still in active surveillance but I know that my antibody production from previous Covid vaccines has not been great.
