PAF well controlled till I got covid
hi, I’m new to this forum and hope you can give me some hope. I’ve had PAF for 13 years, well controlled on propranolol 80mg slow release - other beta blockers seem to affect my chest/throat and give me dreadful indigestion and can’t tolerate the newer ones. However in November whilst on holiday in

On Venetoclax, lymph node appeared
Trying not to worry but a lymph node in my armpit swelled up. I feel fine, no colds, fevers or recent vaccinations. Even did a Covid test because I have had Covid totally asymptomatic but negative. Has anyone have this happen and it turned out to be nothing. Hoping this is just a fluke but it seems

Covid 19 vaccine UK
Hi there, I’d welcome any information you have on eligibility for Covid 19 vaccination in the U.K. I’ve looked at the .gov.uk website and in one place it includes epilepsy under neurological conditions, in another place it doesn’t. I did have an in invitation from my GP for flu, but not for Covid.

Rather scared. What does this mean?
As confirmed in my bio,I went into persistent af in April after 17 years of problems. At this stage my heart was fine , my last echo was clear. I had a chest X-ray in dec which showed no problems. My heart rate was 120-130 and I was assured this was fine/ normal despite feeling increasingly breathless

bnp level high, breathlessness and fluid in lungs. What does this mean?
hello everyone. I have posted relatively frequently, most recently because my weight loss surgery was cancelled due to high heart rate(120-130) in persistent af and breathlessness. The gp gave me additional bisoprolol which brought hr down to about 90. Breathlessness has continued, possibly due to

Covid day four....U.K
Hi all. This sounds so stupid but I thought it was a regular cold. Just did a COVID test and it's positive. I think it maybe too late to access antivirals now? What should I do? Sorry, just a bit panicked. Thank you in advance.

Anyone here with cervical arthritis?
I recently found out that the pains I've been having in my neck, shoulders and arms is arthritis. Specifically c4-c5, c6-c7. I don't want ibuprofen, Tylenol isn't working and I'm allergic to sulfa drugs; I'm kinda concerned about all the drugs, but need something to help so I can continue to work. I

Stopped Prednisone Completely
Diagnosed in the fall of 2022 with PMR. Put on 13mg daily, the relief from the discomfort of PMR was immediate; overnight to be specific. The next month, began reducing my dosage about 1mg/mo. On 2023-10-06, began every other day dosage of 1mg. On 2023-12-26 I took my last dose and so far, so good

First and foremost, I really have to thank all on here that contribute so much time and knowledge to those of us in need. It is very much appreciated. My basic history: I remember back in college around 1998, my calves would go crazy at night like spiders crawling under my skin. It would come and

today/tonight
this afternoon I am going to the casino to hang out with some friends from college. We’re going to shop at the outlets before checking into our air bnb and getting ready for the evening. Our plan is to gamble a bit and go to a nightclub after. Because of my anxiety I already plan on not drinking. But

Is it long Covid
I think having a
chest
infection
from November to March didn't help. The NHS were excellent. The doctor phoned me every day for four days and sent me a free oxygen reader. Has anyone else suffered from this ongoing Covid problem? I shall be worried about going out next winter.

Free Covid tests for vulnerable
Does anyone know how we get free covid tests now that the government has stopped its postal service? I have looked on the NHS sites and there is no clear information. I also went to my local pharmacy and they had no idea about free tests.

6 month old baby Covid
Hi all, unfortunately I tested positive for Covid on Christmas Eve, and today my baby 6 months old has also tested positive. He’s got a slight temperature 37.7 and just sleeping on our laps constantly, he’s having little bits of milk here and there but just sleeping mainly. I’m worried - any advice?
