Ano regrets?
Has anyone on here regretted having treatment , several friends of mine regretted having
chemotherapy
in the past as it made the last years of their lives. miserable, and didn't extend their life.

My sct progress
Here's an update on my sct. I had my donor cells 31 Jan following 6 days radiotherapy and 5 days chemo. My neutrophils have crept up in the last 3 days to 1.15 which is good. However I am really down because of the nausea and am regretting my decision unless this improves

Does anyone have any experience with this drug? Relative is in his 70s and has bone metastases in the pelvis, but has not spread beyond that. Has gone through chemo which helped and other treatments but cancer is still growing slowly. Still walking around but fears being bed bound, losing lots of weight

The potential of using circulating tumour cells and their gene expression to predict docetaxel response in metastatic PCa: 14 Dec 2022.

While it is clear that CTC numbers and gene expression were prognostic for PCa post-docetaxel treatment, and CTC subtype analysis may have additional value, their potential predictive value for docetaxel
response needs to be further investigated in large patient cohorts.

possible ONJ-- seeing an oral surgeon for the first time tomorrow morning
My dentist referred me to an oral surgeon as I have a small area of exposed bone behind my right lower molar, and have been on meds for bone mets (Zometa first, now Xgeva) since diagnosis in 2004. I've done well in terms of the bone mets and the women I have met who've had ONJ have generally done well

Recurrence update
Hi lovely ladies I saw my oncologist on Friday to get results of PET scan and update of first recurrence. The scan showed another area of growth this time near my liver. Measuring 14mm same as those in diaphragm and cardio although these haven’t grown much since last scan. Extremely bright in velocity

Change from Ropinerole to Rigotine patches
I saw a new Neurologist at my local hospital last week as my RLS has been made worse by the chemo I am on. I am stage 4 and Palliative care for Sarcoma with mets in liver, chest wall and spine. I told him I can’t wean off Ropinerole so he suggested changing to Rigotine patches which, as I also have IBS

Vancouver liquid biopsy NGS for lung cancer?
Hi all, I first signed up to this support group when my Mum was diagnosed NSCLC in 2018, she sadly passed away in 2021 after trying Iressa (~1yr), chemo (~1yr), and Tagrisso (~10m). Unfortunately, my ~70yr old uncle who lives in Vancouver had a CT scan last week that showed a change (from one year

Abiraterone/enzalutamide+PARP inhibitor better than abiraterone/enzalutamide alone for mCRPC, even without BRCA+
A new therapy may be approved next month for all men with mCRPC. Previously, PARP inhibitors were only approved for men with mutations in the BRCA gene (BRCA+) and a few other rare similar mutations. By combining the PARP inhibitor (Lynparza (olaparib) or Talzenna (talazoparib)) with either abiraterone

6 rounds of chemo before surgery HGSC
Hi everyone, has anyone had 6 rounds of chemo prior to surgery? My mum has high grade serous, not sure which stage, I think she is stage 3 at least, but now I’m worried she is stage 4 because the doctors want to do 6 rounds of chemo instead of 3 before surgery. They have said her gall bladder and spleen

Rise in CA125
Hi ladies, Hope you're all well! My Mum has really had a bit of a knock back after being told of a rise in her CA125 levels. It was 16, then 22, and now shot up to 92. She's stage 4 borderline, had 6x chemo, optimal debulking surgery, and was declared NED August last year — she's also completing a year

When the drug fails -- whenever that may be -- our next step will be
chemotherapy
. We have, I am told, exhausted all other options. I am glad my oncologist told me that (I had to ask what comes next). The news gives me time to prepare, whether it be a month, a year or (one can wish) a decade.

Tailbone Spasms from Neulasta
After my second dose of chemo (Docetaxel), I ended up in the ER with a fever. My white blood cell count was 1.2 K/CMM and Neutrophils were 0 K/CMM (!). Anyway, I was approved for Neulasta and had the injection 24 hours after my 3rd chemo infusion. Six days later I woke up with horrible pain and spasms

Exon20 mutation and Mobocertinib
Hi , after the usual ‘standard’ chemo and immunotherapy ( which seriously impacted on my kidney function and had to be stopped ) I have now been diagnosed with Exon20 mutation and offered Mobocertinib . This is exactly a year after my initial diagnosis . My stage 4 adenocarcinoma and bony secondaries
