I can't say I really enjoyed my appointment with my oncologist yesterday.

I am to continue with my current medication, enzalutamide, though at a stronger dose> I am to take morphine to counteract the worst side effect, muscle pain. This will also help with the ache I have in my pelvis, where I had radiation.

When the drug fails -- whenever that may be -- our next step will be chemotherapy. We have, I am told, exhausted all other options.

I am glad my oncologist told me that (I had to ask what comes next). The news gives me time to prepare, whether it be a month, a year or (one can wish) a decade.

Hello Brent, I am sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing. I hope things get a better soon. I am not sure if it is relevant to you but you might want to look into a trial that Brysonal has been finding out about. It is the OVM-200 trial held in five sites in UK.
