Hello All. Happy New year. I haven't been on here much in the past weeks due to the festive season and holidays but know you are here. I think I've made it to 3 months. Absolutely stoked and proud. It's not easy and the side affects have been tougher than I thought and have changed from hourly/daily

Nearly a year since I had my last cigarette
Well I can't believe I'm writing this, its been nearly a whole year since I last smoked a cigarette and I've also joined WW and have lost 9lb in 4 weeks so I'm tackling the 3 stone weight gain now. So to all those starting out on their smoke free journey, you can do it, I was lucky with the aid of champix

2 Weeks and 5 days
It’s only been 2 weeks and 5 days and I’m using
Chantix
. It’s been easy except that my taste buds have not recovered. My food taste awful. Just wondering when that will change?

I’m new here and I have to quit smoking for my health
Hi everyone, I’ve smoked for over 40 years, I gave up a few years ago from September to December, I used an e-cigarette and I was fine, when hubby went out for a smoke I’d go too just to smell the fresh smoke because I loved that smell...on Christmas Day, after a lovely dinner I said I was going to “

Day 26
Hi all, I just wanted to update on here that I’m now 26 days smoke free! My Champix ran out a week ago, and I haven’t bothered going back for the second lot of 4 weeks. I’ve been told by my brother that I should, because it helps to stay quit. But right now, I’m just not sure that I need it. I still

Champix-second week. How do you feel?
Hello, I'm on day 11 with Champix. Finding it hard to completely stop. Can I ask how others have gotten along/experience with Champix? Thank you 🙂

Day 15 on Champix a ready to quit.
Day 15 on Champix, finally ready to quit. The last 5 days were only 1 or 2 anyway, so I decided this morning that I didn’t need it. It took me a while to accept that I’m not going to be smoking anymore. Somehow, that was very hard and emotional. So I took it slowly. I went from 25/day to 2 a day within

Five months today for me!
Today marks five months since I quit smoking, with the help of champix. I have had a couple of out of the blue cravings in the last week. But happy to say they are easier to deal with now. My sweet tooth is still missing. So I have not gained back the ten pounds that I lost when I started my quit. Good

4 Months today!
Very pleased to say it’s 4 months today since I quit smoking with the help of Champix. So, anyone just starting their journey - hang in there - you can do it!! I was 70 in June when I quit, having smoked for 50 years.

Day 3 on Champix
Hi Guys, I'm new here, so go easy on me please. ;-) I've been smoking since I was a teenager. I'm 41 now, so that's a long time. I'm the kind that would smoke at every opportunity I had. I averaged around 25 a day. I've been thinking a lot about quitting lately, and on Monday (3 days ago), I bought

Back again
Hello. I just logged back in and am surprised to see that it's been 2 years since my last post. Unfortunately I didn't quit but went back to full time smoking. Anyway, I'm on day 1 of champix and going to try again. Apart from the obvious health benefits, it costs $47 a packet of 30 in Australia now

Stopping for good
I was on Champix last year and managed to virtually stop. However I have been smoking again and wondered if my non smoking nurse will help me again or will she say I cannot be helped & turn me away. I just need advice and being a terrible worrier don’t know what to do. Any advice would be welcome

How long before you get a good nights sleep?
Well its day 110 and things do seem to be better. Hopefully over the grieving period. I'm not constantly thinking about my ex-buddy, the Nico demon. I thought it was the champix that caused the sleep disruptions but I slept better on the champix than I have in the four and a half weeks since I finished

Day 100 of not smoking
It has been a rough three weeks since I finished my champix. But I made it to day 100. It really is a day to day journey. The mind games are unreal. I don't know about anyone else but its like you are grieving for the loss of your best friend. Each night I tell myself that tomorrow will be a better day

71 Days no smoking in Sorrento
I am very pleased to say that it is now 71 days since my LAST ciggie & I couldn’t be happier. I stopped the Champix last Friday (after 10 & half weeks) having been on a half a day just over a week before. I feel great, no cravings at all, so to anyone just starting this journey please stick with it -
