It has been a rough three weeks since I finished my champix. But I made it to day 100. It really is a day to day journey. The mind games are unreal. I don't know about anyone else but its like you are grieving for the loss of your best friend. Each night I tell myself that tomorrow will be a better day. I drink a lot of water and walk two to three times a day. Reading older posts of other members journeys has helped me understand some of what I'm am going through and helped me to get this far into mine. So thank you for that.
On the brighter side my husband and I are taking the boat and going fishing for a couple of days.
Also my tasting is still off. My sweet tooth is still missing somewhere. With all the walking and no sweets I have lost eight pounds.

The best friend analogy is true. For many of us, it was wake-up smoke, lunch smoke, have a drink smoke, meet a friend smoke, etc.. We finished school, changed jobs, moved, broke-up with someone, vacationed, found our faith, lost our faith; but the ciggy was always there. Somewhat sad.
It's day to day in one sense, but really the moments in the day. The craves don't generally last more than a few minutes.
Congrats on 100 days, stay strong, and enjoy fishing.
Congratulations on day 100. I think you have done amazingly well so far. I am only on day 75 but gave the Champix up early as I was going on holiday. Got back 3 days ago and so far so good. I do a lot of exercise but unlike you have not lost that sweet tooth & have put a few pounds on but hopefully that will come off.
Oh wow, good for you and congratulations on hitting the 100 day mark. 3 weeks since quitting Champix and doing all the walking, drinking water & taking it one day at a time. Sounds wise. So lucky your sweet tooth is gone. Enjoy the fishing trip!
