Stopping for good

I was on Champix last year and managed to virtually stop. However I have been smoking again and wondered if my non smoking nurse will help me again or will she say I cannot be helped & turn me away. I just need advice and being a terrible worrier don’t know what to do. Any advice would be welcome

You will have good results if you stay away from triggers like coffee and alcohol. If that’s not your case then just look for ways to relax and read a lot about smoking related disease . Stay positive !

Hi, I would be very surprised if your nurse didn't help.

I read somewhere it takes approximately 6 "fails" before it kicks in, you see...they are not fails, they are practice for the good days.

I failed to stay quit so many times I couldn't possibly tell you for sure because I stopped counting, but the reality is, I never failed, I was gaining practice.

Its been approximately 4 years I stopped smoking and just when I thought I was cured, I found myself smoking on holidays last year.

Back on the horse a few days later...hopefully I will not have to do it again.I still don't smoke to this day :)

PS. I always used champix.

One day you just know you're done with it, it just "clicks" but you will never get that "click " if you don't keep trying.

Good luck, I'm always around if you need me xxx

Good luck sweet, I’m smoke free for 16 months now with champix but you still need lots of determination, don’t let that stick beat you..!!!!

One thing that helped me, I used an ecig with % nicotine when I had a drink on a weekend, but that’s the only time I used it, after about 2 months I forgot about it and I haven’t bothered since. x
