Clamp used in embryo transfer - did it hurt anyone else?
Hello all, I had my embryo transfer last Tuesday 18th Feb and I'm now on that 2 week long wait! When the clamp was used for the endo scratch and the embryo transfer, it unbelievably hurt! I was in so much pain and I have a reasonably tolerant pain threshold. I thought it might just have been the endo

Wish me luck!
There’s some feeling of hopelessness here but I want to share my story, hoping that one day it will bring hope and comfort to other women in my position. It seems like since 2017, my body has just done me over, not co-operated, let me down, you name it…. In 2017 I suffered an ectopic pregnancy, Ok

Hello fellow thyroidites! So, a little background. My mum had hypothyroidism, and a few years ago, I started to recognise in myself quite a few of her symptoms, so I went to my GP and set out my stall. They did a blood test, and told me I was fine. Knowing no better, I went away, puzzled about the cause

Blood Smear
I want to know more about Blood smear, are they keep varying in MPN patients? Sometimes Normal, sometimes not? How important is to know about it together with counts?

Natural FET vs FET with prostrap?
Hi looking g for some advice- so far we have been through 6 rounds of IUI, one fresh IVF (with 5 embryo frozen for later) that all ended in BFN and a FET cycle with 2 embryos that ended in a chemical pregnancy. The FET was using prostrap to bring on ‘menopause’ and then all the meds to restart the monthly

Who is the best Healthcare Professional to see
I was just on the website of an NHS GP practice. It offers this list of reasons you might need to see someone and identifies who would be appropriate. Spot “thyroid” in any form! (“Tiredness and fatigue” doesn’t count – too nebulous, not at all specific.) Given that levothyroxine is just about the most-prescribed

HPV diagnosis pre-egg collection
Dear all, After having spent a year doing egg-collections, I took advantage of a break to do a pap smear test. I just heard back that I have HPV and no abnormal cells. Should I be worried and should I inform my clinic? Will that interrupt my treatment? It would be great to hear from anyone who experienced

Yet to start IVF, advice?
Good afternoon lovely ladies, I have to say coming here and reading all of your posts gives me hope and comfort. A little back story, We have been trying for 2 years to conceive. We conceived pretty quickly after deciding that we wanted a family, unfortunately it was not meant to be and we lost him

One Year Later...
I’ve not posted on here for what feels like forever. I just got bored of hearing myself moan/rant about the same things. It wasn’t helping me and it’s certainly didn’t solve anything so I decided to go into hiding until I had something positive to say. Last time I posted I had just had my LOOP procedure

BRCA test
Hi all, I had to go to a review meeting for my autistic daughter the other day, she's more or less non verbal and lacks capacity so I'm her appointee and her voice. When everyone was diagnosed, were you automatically tested for the BRCA gene? I know it might sound daft but I'm really not sure if I've

Just back from my first ever FET! Let the two weeks of wondering commence!
I cannot believe how quick a FET is. No fuss in and out. Really had hoped to see a screen with a picture or something.... but zero. 🤷🏼♀️ Hard to even feel anything? Is this normal ? I just feel like I had a very uncomfortable smear test? Anyone else the same? Weird times. Not looking forward

Seeing a consultant for the first time
I have been going to the doctors for a while whilst struggling with endometriosis symptoms. I was referred to the hospital a while ago due to there being an issue with my smear test results, I had a scan which showed a couple of cysts but was told my local hospital didn't treat endometriosis as it will

Possible causes of Ataxia
🙂 This is a ‘long read’ and may be difficult to interpret, but never the less it’s interesting. What processes can cause ataxia? The pathophysiology of cerebellar ataxias is as diverse as the various neurological and systemic diseases affecting the cerebellum. Broadly classifying ataxias into genetic
