I want to know more about Blood smear, are they keep varying in MPN patients?

Sometimes Normal, sometimes not? How important is to know about it together with counts?

Blood smears can be useful to help the interpretation of blood counts and to confirm a diagnosis. However they can be difficult to prepare in a consistent mannner and interpretation can vary between individuals or automated systems. I suspect that smear tests are not routine for most people who have already been diagnosed with an MPN.

If you have been diagnosed with an MPN any further smear test results should be consistent with your blood counts and your condition. They shouldn't be " normal".

My blood smears are normal most of the times, occasionally they are not. So I wanted to know more. Thanks for sharing.

It sounds like there is variation in the interpretation, possibly by different people. Speak to your doctor about it.
